Floater Day one (1) full day to be taken any time during the year at the discretion of their immediate supervisor. Each Paid day is calculated to be eight (8) hours in duration, totalling one hundred and four (104) hours.
Floater Day. Notwithstanding 13.01 a) above, all full-time and part-time employees who have completed their probationary period will receive one (1) floater day to be taken within the contract year 1st April and 31st March.
Floater Day. 16.01 The Employer shall provide to each Employee who has worked a minimum of one thousand nine hundred and twenty (1920) hours of work one (1) day off with normal pay. Days off shall be provided on a day mutually agreed upon as between the Employer and the Employee, it being on the understanding that the Employer shall not be required to agree to a specific day if the granting of that particular day off will result in overtime or scheduling difficulties.
16.02 After an Employee has become entitled to and received their first floater day off, that Employee will be entitled to an additional floater day off every additional one thousand eight hundred and forty (1840) hours of work. All other terms and conditions as to floater day shall remain the same as in the proceeding paragraph.
Floater Day. Employees hired prior to June 17, 2006 will receive a “Floater Day” to be taken at a time mutually agreed between the employee and Employer(s). An employee request to take their floater day will be subject to the Employer(s)’ need to maintain a sufficient work force at all times but otherwise will not be unreasonably denied.
Floater Day. Calculations for paid holidays shall be in accordance with the Employment Standards Act as amended 2011. A part-time employee must have worked their last scheduled shift prior to the holiday and their first scheduled shift subsequent to the holiday in order to qualify for holiday pay.
Floater Day. Where any employee works on a sixth (6th) shift, he shall be paid at one and one-half (1%) times his regular rate for the first eight (8) hours; two and one-quarter (2%) times his regular rate for the ninth (9th) and tenth (10th) hour and three (3) times his regular rate thereafter. Overtime shall be allocated wherever possible to capable senior employees in their classification in a voluntary manner, provided however, that upon reaching the bottom of the seniority list, the employee shall be required to work overtime. Except in case of emergency or where it is unavoidable, no employee shall work weekly overtime until all regular employees in their unit have worked the full quota of regular hours, provided there are capable and qualified regular employees among those who have not worked their full quota or regular hours. Provided the foregoing has been complied with, seniority will prevail in classifications for the allocation of Overtime. In the event of daily lay-offs, the employees on lay-off will be offered work on another shift to fill in their work week. The employee will be paid his regular straight time rate of pay. Pay for holidays when not worked shall be as follows: Employees shall be paid for time not worked at the regular rate on New Year's Day, Good Friday, Victoria Day, Dominion Day, Day, Labour Day, Thanksgiving Day, Remembrance Day, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and in the event a General Holiday is proclaimed by the Federal or Provincial Government, such holiday shall be observed as a General Holiday. The rates of pay of these General Holidays will be at the regular applicable work time rate. Employees will be entitled to one (1) floater day in addition to the General Holidays listed above. Two (2) week's notice is required and the provisions in Section apply. Employees entitled to these paid holidays shall have been on the payroll thirty (30) calendar days previous to the holiday. Employees absent from work by reason of accident or illness not in excess of six (6) months shall receive full pay for General Holidays as designated herein. Employees in receipt of Workers' Compensation Wage Loss Benefits shall not be paid for the General Holidays as designated herein. Section
Floater Day. 4.01 Effective February 11th, 2022, two (2) personal paid floater holidays, said personal paid floater holiday to be taken, subject to the Employer’s operational requirements, at a time as mutually agreed upon by the Employer and employee. To be eligible for the personal floater paid holiday, an employee must have successfully completed his probationary period at the time of applying for said holiday. An eligible employee in the case of a sick day, will provide the Employer with as much advanced notice as possible.
Floater Day. Full time regular employees who have completed their probationary period will qualify for one floater day per year to be taken off at a time mutually agreed between the employee and the Employer.
Floater Day. 4.01 Effective February 11th, 2021, one (1) personal paid floater holiday (8 hours per day for Shop & Warehouse employees, 7 ½ hours per day for Office employees, times employee’s regular straight time hourly rate), said personal paid floater holiday to be taken, subject to the Employer’s operational requirements, at a time as mutually agreed upon by the Employer and employee. To be eligible for the personal floater paid holiday, an employee must have successfully completed his probationary period at the time of applying for said holiday.
