Inspection of Personnel File. All materials placed in the teacher's file and originating with the school system shall be available to the teacher at his/her request for inspection, except as provided in Section 2.08.04, in the presence of the person(s) responsible for keeping the files.

Inspection of Personnel File. Every employee shall have the right to inspect evaluation reports and supporting documents contained in his/her personnel file upon request, provided that the review is made at a time when such person is not actually required to render services to the District, except that when the information to be reviewed is derogatory, the review may, at the option of the employee, take place during normal business hours of the Personnel Office and at such time as is mutually agreeable to the employee, and the District. Typically, the District shall make an appointment to review a personnel file within one working day of receiving a request. Only the evaluation procedure and not the contents of the evaluation shall be subject to the Grievance Procedure contained in this Agreement.

Inspection of Personnel File. Employees may inspect their personnel file and obtain copies of documents contained in the personnel file in accordance with California’s Labor Code and the procedures described in the Employer’s Employee Handbook. To review his/her personnel file, the employee must give reasonable, advance notice to his/her supervisor or the Administrator. An Employer representative may be present when the employee inspects his/her file. The employee may obtain copies of any signed documents and the employee may submit a rebuttal to any disputed item in the file.
Inspection of Personnel File. Within three (3) working days of a written request to the Chief or his designee, an employee may inspect his/her personnel file under the following conditions: A) Inspection shall occur during the normal working hours, at a time mutually acceptable to the employee and the District. Upon request, an employee who has a written grievance on file who is inspecting his/her personnel file with respect to such grievances may have a Union representative present during such inspection; B) Upon request, copies of materials in an employees personnel file shall be provided only to that employee upon payment of a copying fee of five cents per page; C) Employees will be limited to viewing their personnel files to four (4) times per year; D) A representative of the District may be present when employees review their files. Any evaluation of the employee’s job performance shall be discussed with the employee, and the employee shall be given a copy of any written evaluation and shall sign the evaluation as recognition of having received it. After ratification of this agreement, each employee shall be notified when any documented disciplinary action or negative performance evaluation is placed in his/her file. The employee shall have thirty (30) days thereafter to submit a response to any such material and the response shall be attached to same and maintained with the file.
Inspection of Personnel File. 3902 An Employee shall be entitled at a mutually convenient time to inspect documents, reports, and other written materials in his/her official personnel file (both in Human Resources and in the Department) relating to the employment and performance of the Employee. When inspecting the material, the Employee may, at the Employee’s request, be accompanied by a Union representative. Upon request, an Employee may receive copies of materials normally provided to the Employee (e.g., notices of disciplinary action, performance evaluations).
