Isolation Leave. Where the Medical Officer of Health orders that an employee must be isolated from the public, the employee shall be granted leave in accordance with the provisions of the Income Protection Plan.

Isolation Leave. As a precautionary measure, an employee may be granted no more than fourteen (14) Special Leave with full pay for isolation purposes should the employee have displayed symptoms during screening or has been exposed to someone who tested positive for COVID-19.
Isolation Leave. (a) Isolation leave is designed to compensate the remote area nurse for long periods of being continuously on call and shall be used as recreation leave only. A remote area nurse shall not be required to use Isolation Leave for staff development purposes.
(b) Nurses who work in localities falling within Group A in Clause 31.3(b) hereof shall be entitled to one week’s isolation leave after the completion of each twelve weeks in a remote area. Provided that the fourth such week in any year shall be taken in conjunction with a period of annual leave.
(c) Nurses employed in localities falling within Group B in Clause 31.3 (b) hereof shall be entitled to one week’s isolation leave after the completion of each 24 weeks in a Group B locality. Provided that the second such week in any year shall be taken in conjunction with a period of annual leave.
(d) A remote area nurse who commences employment at any other remote area locality within a period of one week shall be entitled to transfer the isolation leave accrued under (b) to the new locality, provided that a further period of one week’s travel between engagements shall be allowed.
Isolation Leave. 45.1. An Employee who contracts an infectious disease classified as notifiable under the Public Health and Wellbeing Act 2008 (Vic), or an Employee who provides a medical report stating that they are unable to attend for duty as a result of contact with a person suffering from an illness classified as notifiable under the Public Health and Wellbeing Act 2008 (Vic), shall be granted special leave on full pay. The period of leave must not be for any period beyond the earliest date at which it would be practicable for the Employee to return to work having regard to the restrictions imposed by law. This special leave is not debited from the Employee's sick/carer leave credits.
Isolation Leave. 5.8.1 Where any Employee is isolated and accordingly unable to report for work at any of Council’s Depots, Service Centres or premises from which that Employee’s duties are conducted, shall be permitted leave without pay.
5.8.2 Such isolation, being caused by flooding, bushfire, natural disaster, weather caused event, major traffic incident or earthquake event, shall be deemed to confer Council’s consent for such absence.
5.8.3 Employees who are absent from work will be able to access RDO/Annual Leave/Long Service Leave or TOIL for the period of isolation. Where the Employee has no leave entitlement available, the Employee can be granted leave in advance by the Chief Executive Officer or Delegated Officer.
5.8.4 Where an Employee has been requested to attend work and that Employee subsequently becomes “stranded” due to flooding, bushfire or natural disaster and is unable to return to their residence will be permitted to seek reimbursement from Council for accommodation costs whilst isolated.

An employee who contracts an infectious disease classified as notifiable to the Victorian Department of Health or who is required by a medical practitioner to remain in isolation by reason of contact with a person suffering from a notifiable infectious disease, shall be granted isolation leave on full pay for the period that the employee is required to be absent and shall not have such leave deducted from sick leave credits.
