Joint Working Committee. The union and members of UMMS management representational units have established a joint working committee. The Committee shall consist of an equal number of representatives from the management team and members of the collective bargaining unit. The committee shall meet regularly as determined by need and shall create an agreed upon schedule. Bargaining unit members who will be attending committee meetings shall be allowed reasonable release time to travel to and participate in scheduled committee meetings. Committee members shall continue to follow the University's policy regarding mileage reimbursement and travel costs affiliated with travel to committee meetings. The committee shall consider joint programs and initiatives to oversee the labor management relationship and to discuss matters of mutual concern between the parties. The committee may consider joint training of its members for mutual areas of interest. The Committee has drafted the following mission statement: The Joint Working Committee, a group of UMASS employees, comes together to work on a common goal, open communication, discuss mutual questions, issues, and/or concerns that exist in the workplace. We strive to reach solutions and improvements that all parties are agreeable to. Our ultimate goal is to enhance productivity and harmony in the work place.

Joint Working Committee. 45.5.1 The parties shall establish a Joint Working Committee (JWC) to address and attempt to resolve sick leave and/or LTD issues. 45.5.2 The JWC shall meet quarterly or as required and will have the broad discretion to consider a variety of remedies to resolve issues within the confines of the Collective Agreement.

This referral does not preclude further settlement efforts at the local level. Local settlements will be sent to the JWC for review. In the event that the parties are unable to reach agreement, either party may refer the matter to expedited arbitration.
Joint Working Committee. The CBA and the HEABC The parties will appoint representatives to a jJoint wWorking cCommittee within 30 days of ratification. The committee will be comprised of equal representation from the CBA and the HEABC. If the jJoint wWorking cCommittee determines that new benchmarks are required, they will be developed during the term of this agreement. Joint Working Committee. The parties agree to establish a Surplus Staff Joint Committee. The Joint Team will explore opportunities within the Company. Prior to any running of Article the Joint Team will explore the business needs, and retraining opportunities within the Company, tuition opportunities, outplacement opportunities, benefits continuance and any other issues that may arise. Joint Working Committee. 1. A Joint Working Committee, comprising representatives from the Sides, will be formed to realize the objective of this Memorandum. The Joint Working Committee will be held when there is a need for specialized and technical discussions on the areas, identified in paragraph 2 above, which are among the areas of cooperation addressed by the Agriculture, Environment and Climate Change Subcommittee established under the Joint Declaration on the Implementation of Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Initiative (CSPI) between Japan and the United Arab Emirates signed in September 2022. The Sides will make their best efforts to promote the joint implementation of cooperative projects and activities in the areas identified in paragraph 2. 2. The Sides will endeavour to involve and collaborate with strategic partners as appropriate, including but not limited to, government and non-government agencies, research institutions and private companies. 3. The implementation of this Memorandum will be jointly decided by the Sides.
