Jury Witness. If a full-time or regular part-time nurse is required to serve as a juror in any court of law, or is required to attend as a witness in a court proceeding in which the Crown is a party, or is required by subpoena to attend a court of law or coroner's inquest in connection with a case arising from the nurse's duties at the hospital, the nurse shall not lose regular pay because of such attendance and shall not be required to work on the day of such duty provided that the nurse:
Jury Witness. Section 1: Employees who have acquired seniority and who are required by law to serve as jurors or crown witnesses, shall be paid the difference between the fee received for such service and the amount of straight time earnings lost by reason of such service, up to a limit of eight (8) hours per day and forty (40) hours per week. For any day on which they receive jury or witness fees, employees will not be required to perform their regular duties with the Company. Such compensation shall be payable only if the employee: gives the Company prior notice of call for such service; and, presents proper evidence as to the service performed. Employees working evening or midnight shift will be considered as if they were working day shift for purposes of this section.
Jury Witness an employee is required to serve as a juror in any court of law, or is required to attend as a witness in a court proceeding in which the Crown is a party, or is required by subpoena to attend a court of law or coroner's inquest in connection with a case arising from the employee's duties at the Hospital, the employee shall not lose regular pay because of such attendance provided that the employee:
Jury Witness. In the event that an employee is called for jury duty, or crown witness, he will be compensated for the time thus spent on the following basis: The Company will pay the employee the difference between his normal hourly rate earnings and the Government pay awarded him for such duty. This compensation will be made for each day of such duty.
Jury Witness may extend such leave If a full-time or regular part-time nurse is required to serve as a juror in any court of law, or is required to attend as a witness in a court proceeding in which the Crown is a party, or is required by subpoena to attend a court of law or coroner's inquest in connection with a case arising from the nurse's duties at the hospital, the nurse shall not lose regular pay because of such attendance and shall not be required to work on the day of such duty provided that the nurse: notifies the Hospital immediately on the nurse's notification that she or he will be required to attend court; presents proof of service requiring the nurse's attendance; deposits with the Hospital the full amount of compensation received excluding mileage, travelling and meal allowances and an official receipt where available.
Jury Witness. Any employee who is required to serve on a jury or is subpoenaed as a witness [excluding arbitrations and Labour Board matters] shall be paid the difference between the amount paid for such service and his normal pay computed at his normal hourly rate, including shift premium but excluding other premiums, for hours lost from work up to forty (40) hours in a week. An employee must notify the Company within two (2) working days after receipt of notice of selection for Jury Duty or subpoena. In order to be eligible for such payments the employee must furnish a written statement from the proper public official showing the date and time served and the amount of pay received.
Jury Witness employee shall be granted a leave of absence with pay at his regular hourly rate, for the normally scheduled number of hours the employee would otherwise have worked, for the purpose of servingjury duty, or if required, as a subpoenaed Crown witness. The employee will present proof of jury duty or confirmation that he has appeared as a subpoenaed Crown witness, together with documentation showing the amount he has received. Thereafter, the Company shall deduct the pay of the employee the full amount of jury pay or Crown witness pay received by the employee. Employees do not have to report for work on those days they are required for jury duty or as a subpoenaed Crown witness. Furthermore, they are not required to report back to work on that day if they are required past a.m.
Jury Witness. While serving on a jury or as a witness as a result of a subpoena, providing that any fee received for acting in such capacity be paid over to the employer.
Jury Witness. The Company will pay an employee regular day’s pay for every workday that is attending jury duty. How- ever, any pay that may receive for jury service, from other sources, excluding travel allowance, shall be signed over to the Company. It is expected that an employee will report to work if jury duty is not required on a normal workday. This section shall also apply to an employee who is subpoenaed as a witness, provided the employee is not the accused.
Jury Witness. If an employee required to serve as juror in any court of law, or is required to attend as a witness in a court proceeding in which the Crown is a party, or is required by subpoena to attend a court of law or xxxxxxx's inquest in connection with a case arising from the employee's duties at the Nursing Home, the employee shall not lose regular pay because of such attendance, provided that the employee: notifies the Nursing Home immediately on the employee's notification that she will be required to attend at court; presents proof of service requiring the employee's attendance; and deposits with the Nursing Home the full amount of compensation received, excluding mileage, travelling and meal allowance, and an official receipt thereof.
