The Late Evaluations clause establishes the procedures and consequences when evaluations or assessments are not completed within the agreed timeframe. Typically, this clause outlines the responsibilities of the parties involved, specifies any grace periods, and may detail penalties or adjustments to obligations if evaluations are delayed. Its core function is to ensure accountability and maintain project timelines by addressing the risks and disruptions caused by late performance reviews or deliverable assessments.
Late Evaluations. Failure of an appointing authority to recommend step advancement in accordance with Probation - Successful Completion of Probation Period provision of this MOU shall be considered to be a recommendation of step advancement effective on the due date. Timeliness of evaluations is not subject to the grievance procedure.
Late Evaluations. Supervisors are expected to complete performance evaluations (EMPLOYEE JOB PERFORMANCE EVALUATION forms) on time. The performance evaluation form may be completed up to 30 days prior to the employee’s anniversary date. The performance evaluation is considered past due if it has not been completed and approved for payroll processing by the end of the first full payroll period following the employee’s anniversary date. The pay step advancement will be processed for payroll action during the first pay period after the evaluation is past due but will be retroactive as of the employee’s anniversary date. However, the performance evaluation will not be considered past due if the employee has a written performance improvement plan underway. Also, unpaid leaves of absence of greater than five (5) working days and other prolonged absences may delay the employee’s performance evaluation anniversary dates. An employee with a past due performance evaluation will be granted the pay step advancement within the pay range for the employee’s classification.
Late Evaluations. The Probation Department agrees that, should salary step increases be delayed due to late evaluations, the step increase will be granted retroactively to the date the salary increase was due.
