Leave for Family. Request for such leave must be accompanied by a statement from the attending physician who states the nature of the illness or injury and recommendations that such leave is needed. Family in this instance means "immediate family."
Leave for Family. RELATED RESPONSIBILITIES 28.01 Subject to operational requirements, the Employer or designate, in her discretion may grant leave with pay to an employee for immediate family related reasons not otherwise provided for in this Agreement. The Employer shall make every effort to approve the leave requested. The total leaves granted under this Article will not exceed five (5) days in any calendar year.
Leave for Family emergency reasons
Leave for Family. (1) In the case of illness of a member of an employ- ee’s immediate family, meaning spouse, son, daughter, father or mother, who permanently reside with the employee, and when no one at home other than the employee can provide for the needs of the ill person, the employee may be granted, after notifying her immediate manage- ment supervisor, leave with pay up to (5) working days per fiscal year, for the purpose of making such arrangements as are necessary to per- mit the employee‘s return to work. The immediate management supervisor may require proof of the need for such leave as she considers necessary.
