Departmental Responsibilities. Each UFV department shall prepare a multi-year plan for the allocation of sabbatical leaves which will be kept in the office of the Xxxx of the area. Faculty members shall be able to take a leave within a reasonable time from when they qualify. In making their allocation plan departments may consider the following: • The needs of the department to offer certain courses at certain times so as to ensure that students have appropriate access. • The needs of the department to ensure that a sufficient number of senior personnel are available in any given semester. • The needs of the department to maintain the integrity and direction of its long term program planning. The departmental plans shall be reviewed annually in consultation with their Xxxx. Faculty members who are unable to take their sabbatical at the point that they qualify, for reasons above or, who elect to postpone their sabbatical for reasons acceptable to their department, will have their eligibility for subsequent sabbatical leaves calculated from their date of eligibility of the (postponed) sabbatical date and not the date when they actually take their sabbatical.

Departmental Responsibilities. (a) Coordinate the implementation of OSS into courses in their department (with the assistance of the Principal, Vice-Principal and the Administrative Coordinators)
(b) Ensure that the courses in their department meet Ministry and Board requirements
(c) Maintain liaison with department heads in the adolescent secondary schools re: curriculum implementation, textbooks and assessment
(d) Assist with the coordination of registration for day and night schools
(e) Responsible for budget ordering
(f) Make recommendations for ordering the appropriate textbooks for the implementation of OSS
(g) Make recommendations for ordering the appropriate computer software and hardware for courses in their area
(h) Verify the accuracy of all MET registers in each semester before passing them on to the Principal
(i) Analyze the semester-end financial summaries (provided every semester) and make appropriate recommendations based on this analysis
(j) Maintain EIF forms for their department
(k) Chair the review of the progress of all students in their department each semester
(l) Support the ESL and ABL/N administrators in curriculum development and in integrating their students into the credit program
(m) Hold department meetings as necessary
(n) Ensure that the course offerings meet all requirements of OSS and entrance requirements for post secondary institutions
(o) Where appropriate, support general interest/contract work
(p) Plan professional development, with the administrative coordinators, for the hourly paid teachers and instructors.
Departmental Responsibilities. Departments shall provide appropriate work space and resources as necessary to allow Graduate Assistants to perform their duties, such as, prescribed texts, photocopying, keys to mailrooms, offices, classrooms, and support services, as well as access to confidential meeting space.
Departmental Responsibilities. The home department is responsible for providing office space, photocopying, travel allotments, and all other necessary working conditions to the joint appointee that are normally associated with department membership.
16.19.13.1 By mutual consent, the home department and participating unit may share office space and supply allocations to the joint appointee.
16.19.13.2 The home department chairperson is responsible for preparing the schedule of the joint appointee in consultation with the chair or director of the participating unit.

Departmental Responsibilities. 1. A Bargaining Unit Member, while engaged in secondary employment, shall at all times take proper action on any offense or condition of which he has, or acquires, knowledge and which normally would require police attention including arrest and the making of reports.
2. In all cases of secondary employment, the primary duty, obligation, and responsibility of a Bargaining Unit Member is at all times to the Department. Therefore, if a Bargaining Unit Member is required to report to duty during offduty days or to work overtime, secondary employment will not conflict with those primary duties to the Department.
Departmental Responsibilities. 1. The Department will not furnish services of support (e.g., support staff, office space, telephone service, secretarial or clerical) to the Contractor.
2. The Department shall ensure that all offenders sign appropriate release of information forms that will authorize the Contractor to share program information with the Department and sentencing or releasing authorities.

Departmental Responsibilities. Each Department Head is responsible for Title VI compliance for individual federal, state and/or local funded programs, facilities or projects. Compliance activities include, but are not limited to:
1. Ensuring that each Program and each Facility as outlined in Section II- Definitions will be conducted, or will be operated in compliance with all requirements imposed by, or pursuant to the Regulations.
2.
