Maximum Accrual of Vacation. Vacation may be accrued for the purpose of extending the vacation period or to carry over any unused vacation credit from a previous period. Such accrual shall be limited to that amount earned in the three years of service just completed.

Maximum Accrual of Vacation. Years of Service Maximum Accrual of Vacation Hrs. A. At the end of each vacation year, Members shall be paid for any vacation balances in excess of the maximums fixed by this Article. B. A Member who is to be separated from City service through removal, resignation, retirement or layoff and who has unused vacation leave to the Member’s credit, shall be paid in a lump sum for such unused vacation leave. C. When a Member dies while in paid status in the City service, any unused vacation leave to the Member’s credit shall be paid in a lump sum to the Member’s spouse, or secondarily the Member’s estate, at the rate of pay in effect at the time of the Member’s death. D. All vacation leaves shall be taken at such time or times at the discretion of and as approved by the Chief or designee. E. Vacation leaves may be taken in multiples of one-half (1/2) hour. F. Except as provided in this paragraph, one Sergeant and one Officer per shift shall be permitted to be on vacation leave or compensatory time leave at the same time. If no Sergeant has scheduled vacation, two Officers per shift shall be permitted to be on vacation leave or compensatory time leave at the same time. Additional members shall be permitted to be on vacation leave beyond the numbers set forth in this provision should staffing requirements permit. A request to use vacation/compensatory time leave may be denied, or vacation/compensatory time leave that was previously approved may be canceled, by the Chief or designee if an unforeseen law enforcement emergency (e.g., natural disaster, large demonstrations or civil disturbances, etc.) requires off-duty Members to report for duty. Vacation leave also may be reduced to one (1) or no (0) Members per shift for no more than 12 occasions or events, including in-service training (which shall be counted as one event per training session) which shall be established annually by the Chief in consultation with the Lodge. The City and the Lodge agree that, in the discretion of the Chief, if staffing permits, additional Members may be permitted to schedule vacation on a day previously designated as a day on which limited vacation was allowed. G. When two or more Members request the same vacation time and operational needs require the limitation of the number of Members who can be off, the Member with the greater seniority will be given first choice, except that Members entitled to more than two hundred (200) hours vacation may be required to schedule that portion b...

  • Accrual of Annual Leave (a) An employee shall accrue an amount of paid annual leave, for each completed 4 week period of continuous service with the employer, of 1/13 of the number of ordinary hours worked by the employee for the employer during that 4 week period. (b) Annual leave shall accrue on a pro-rata basis and be credited to the employee monthly.

  • Accumulation of Vacation Leave Credits An employee shall earn vacation leave credits for each calendar month during which the employee receives pay for at least ten (10) days at the following rate:

  • Part-time Vacation Pay If the Employer currently has the computer systems’ capability to implement bi- weekly vacation pay, they shall do so by the start of the next vacation year or earlier. Those Employers with no computer capability will endeavour to implement bi- weekly vacation pay if there is no significant administrative burden, by the start of the next vacation year or earlier. If the Employer does not so implement, it will provide reasons in writing to the Union. Where possible without extensive programming changes, the amount of vacation pay will be separately identified on the pay stub.

  • Accrual of Leave (a) An employee’s entitlement to paid recreation leave accrues progressively during a year of service according to the employee’s ordinary hours of work. (b) If an employee takes unpaid leave that does not count as service, leave will not accrue for that period.

  • Vacation Leave Accrual ‌ After a full-time employee has been in pay status for eighty (80) non-overtime hours in a calendar month, the employee will accrue vacation leave according to the rate schedule below. Vacation leave accrual for part-time employees will be proportionate to the number of hours the part-time employee is in pay status during the month to that required for full-time employment.

  • Maximum Compensation There is a maximum compensation for this Agreement and a separate maximum compensation for each Approved Service Order.
