Meeting Guidelines. The Campus Committee must meet at least twice a month unless otherwise agreed upon by the principal and the unit chairperson. The meetings shall be scheduled to begin no later than the start of the last hour of instruction for the normal school day or at a time mutually agreed to by the unit chair and administration.

Meeting Guidelines. The following meeting guidelines should be considered and followed when planning and/or attending meetings to be held before, during or after the school day: A. Meetings should start and end on time.
Meeting Guidelines. The District shall not schedule mandatory staff meetings to begin outside the seven (7) hour workday, except for extenuating circumstances approved by the Superintendent or designee. Mandatory staff meetings shall not extend 30 minutes beyond the seven (7) hour workday. One Early Release Day per month shall be reserved for teacher planning time. All mandatory evening events shall be scheduled on either an Early Release Day or student Minimum Day. On such days, teachers will be released at the conclusion of the instructional day. Mandatory evening events shall not exceed two (2) hours, per event.
Meeting Guidelines. The District believes in providing flexibility for work schedules and accommodating employees’ work/life balance. However, the schedule for meetings and plan time for TEACHERS must be dictated by the needs and in the best interests of the students. As a result, each TEACHER’S frequency, and number of meetings to fulfill their professional responsibilities may vary weekly and monthly based on their individual role. A reasonable effort will be made by administration to minimize the number of meetings held prior to the student day for elementary and following the student day at the middle school that are not directly tied to students and/or curriculum (i.e. faculty meetings, safety/operations meetings, etc.). These guidelines do not apply to meetings that are considered professional development, have a primary focus on curriculum and/or student problem solving, and/or are voluntary in nature such as a TEACHER’s participation on a committee and/or performing an extra duty.

For positions of Coordinators, Assistant Department Heads, and Department Heads-- Associate Deans are Selection Committee Chairs. For positions of the nominee of the College President are SC Chairs. x is the responsibility of the SC Chair to set up the meeting by alerting all members of the SC of the time and place, and also to follow up with a confirming memo. Unavailability of an Associate Xxxx from the Division Concerned. In such instances, the administratorcharged with making the appointment, or delegate, shall designate another division chair from individuals presently holding that position. The designates’ name shall be forwarded to the Association for approval. At the meeting the following shall be accomplished: Review of the position posting including the duties, responsibilities, and qualifications; Determine criteria and process for the short-listing of candidates; Review of all applications, both internal and external, in order to determine which applicants meet the criteria; Prepare a short-list(s) of the candidates that meet the prescribed criteria; Determine the questions to be asked of the applicants that shall be interviewed; Determine the order in which the questions shall be asked. Procedural Guidelines for Selection Committees At the end of the meeting, the Chair shall collect all the documentation pertaining to the applicants and the process, and remind the delegates that the information is confidential. The SC delegates at the meeting shall determine the process and establish the criteria which determine who will be short-listed. All candidates who, in the meet the criteria decided upon in above, shall be short-listed. Three short-lists shall be made: one for candidates from within the bargaining unit: one for other employees of the College; and external candidates. Short-listed candidates shall be interviewed in the following order: those from within the bargaining unit; if no candidate is found suitable for the position, then those who are not within the bargaining unit but who are employees of if no candidate is found suitable for the position, then external candidates. If the SC selects a candidate as per then interviewing of candidates on the next short-list shall not proceed.
