Military Training Duty. 11.10.2.1 Any unit member in the service of the Employer for at least one year who is ordered to participate in military training duty (temporary military duty) shall be granted military leave with pay for the first 30 calendar days of such training duty. Any unit member in the service of the Employer for less than one year who is ordered to participate in military training duty shall be granted an unpaid leave of absence for the duration of the ordered-military training period. A unit member requesting leave (paid or unpaid) for military training shall submit official verification requiring the training duty. 11.10.2.2 A unit member working less than a twelve-month schedule is requested to arrange for military training duty to be scheduled during school vacation periods whenever possible. A claim of extenuating circumstances necessitating training duty during other periods shall be referred to the Superintendent or the Superintendent’s designee for a decision. 11.10.2.3 Military Leave with pay as stated above shall only be provided during the work year as defined in the Agreement. An employee is not entitled to Military Leave with pay during periods outside the work year when the employee would not otherwise be compensated by the Employer. 11.10.2.4 Following the receipt of Military Leave with pay under this article, and during any period outside the work year, the employee is entitled to Military Leave without pay for the remainder of such ordered military service.

Such military pay differential shall be the amount by which the employee’s normal wages for the period, calculated on the basis of his/her workweek up to a maximum of forty (40) hours, exceeds any pay received for such military training duty. All pay and allowances, with the exception of subsistence and travel allowances, shall be included in determining military training duty pay. The employee involved shall have the responsibility of submitting documentary proof of his/her military training duty pay. (b) An employee may be permitted to take a vacation and participate in military training duty at separate times or at the same time and may be granted both vacation pay and a military pay differential as provided hereunder.

Military Training Duty. Employees who are absent from work due to military training duty will be reimbursed by the company up to 80 hours per calendar year.
Military Training Duty. A nurse who is regularly scheduled to work at least twenty (20) hours per week and who participates in annual military summer training duty as a member of the Armed Forces Reserves or the National Guard shall be granted military training pay, which will be the amount by which the nurse’s regular base salary ( including any differentials and premiums) for the period, calculated on the basis of her or his regular work week up to a maximum of forty (40) hours, exceeds any military duty pay received by her or him for such military training duty. In order to receive military training pay, the nurse must furnish the Hospital with the military paymaster’s pay voucher. All pay and allowances shall be included in determining military duty pay.

  • Military Training Leave An employee who has served with the State of Oregon or its counties, municipalities or other political subdivisions for six (6) months or more immediately preceding an application for military leave, and who is a member of the National Guard or of any reserve components of the armed forces of the United States is entitled to a leave of absence with pay for a period not exceeding fifteen (15) calendar days or eleven (11) workdays in any training year (October 1 through September 30). If the training time for which the employee is called to active duty is longer than fifteen (15) calendar days, the employee may be paid for the first fifteen (15) days only if such time is served for the purpose of discharging an obligation of annual active duty for training in the military reserve or National Guard.

  • Military Duty Employees who participate in activities related to the reserve component of the Canadian Armed Forces may be granted leave of absence without pay for this purpose. Such time off will not be unreasonably withheld.

  • Military Service We do not Cover an illness, treatment or medical condition due to service in the Armed Forces or auxiliary units.

  • Military Caregiver Leave The employer shall grant an employee who is a family member of a covered service member an unpaid leave of up to twenty-six (26) weeks (inclusive of the twelve (12) weeks granted under 1. above) in a single twelve (12) month period to care for the covered service member who has a serious illness or injury incurred in the line of duty on active duty.

  • Sick Leave Buy Back To encourage and reward employees who maintain good job attendance, the parties agree to the following incentive award: Employees who utilize two (2) sick leave days or less each assigned school calendar year and year-round employees who utilize three (3) sick leave days or less during each assigned school calendar year - upon request – shall receive payment for up to eight (8) days of sick leave, provided the employee worked the full assigned calendar year.* The following procedures apply to the payment of sick leave under this section. 1. An employee must have a minimum of twenty-five (25) days of accumulated sick leave remaining after the payment for unused sick leave under this section. 2. The payment of this incentive shall be paid to eligible employees no later than October 31st of the school year following the school year in which the employee qualified for the incentive pay. 3. For purposes of this section, sick leave shall be defined pursuant to all sections of F.S.1012.61. 4. Days for which such award payment is received shall be deducted from the accumulated leave balance. 5. Payment shall be equal to the number of eligible days times the affected employees daily rate of base pay times eighty percent (80%).

  • Military Family Leave Employees may use vacation leave for leave as required by the Military Family Leave Act, RCW 49.77 and in accordance with Article 19.13.
