Educational Differential. 25.1 The minimum educational requirement for appointment to the service of Langara College as a Community Health Nurse shall be a recognized baccalaureate degree in nursing or equivalency as determined by the College. • A Community Health Nurse possessing a Baccalaureate Degree, as approved by the College, will receive an additional forty-six dollars ($46.00) bi-weekly. • A Community Health Nurse possessing a Master’s Degree as approved by the College, will receive an additional fifty-seven dollars and forty-nine cents ($57.49) bi-weekly.
Educational Differential. All registered nurses who possess a Bachelor's degree shall receive a differential of fifty ($.50) cents an hour. All those who possess a Master's degree shall receive a differential of fifty ($.50) cents an hour. Each degree will be treated separately. An employee who possesses a Bachelor's degree and a Master's degree will receive one ($1.00) dollar more per hour. If the Bachelor's or Master's degree is from a foreign school, it must be equivalent to such degree in the United States. The Bachelor's degree and Master's degree must be in a nursing related field. An RN who is certified CCRN, RNC, or NP, or who holds any other specialty certification, shall receive an additional certification differential of $750.00 lump sum annual payment effective 10/1/06. Respiratory Therapists who perform pulmonary function tests will receive an additional $1.25 per hour while performing PFT. Social Workers who hold a CADC shall receive a $200 lump sum annual payment effective 9/16/09.

Registered Nurses (Range B or D), Registered Nurses (Forensic Facility) (Range B or D), Registered Nurse (Correctional Facility) (Range B or D), Surgical Nurses I and II, and Health Services Specialists who successfully complete the equivalent of 15 qualifying semester units of collegiate level job- related courses in a college or university of recognized standing shall be given an educational differential of $50.00 per month. Only courses on the lists established by each department for implementing this provision will qualify toward this differential.
B. Upon request of the employee, each department employing RN’s (Range B or D), RN’s (Forensic Facility) (Range B or D), RN’s (Correctional Facility) (Range B or D), Surgical Nurses I and II, and Health Services Specialists shall make available to all current and new Unit 17 employees a copy of the lists of those courses which qualify for this differential.
C. Only courses completed within the previous five years shall qualify towards educational differential.
D. The education differential shall not be considered as "compensation" for purposes of retirement contributions.
E. The State may add courses to the qualifying list at its discretion.
Educational Differential. Any nurse who possesses a; X. Xxxxxxxxxxxxx degree in nursing or a related field, shall receive an additional four and three-quarters percent (4.75%) of their salary rate.
Educational Differential. Commencing the first full pay period after the approval of this agreement, Police Officers, Police Detectives, and Police Sergeants shall receive educational pay in the amount of $110 per month for a baccalaureate or $135 per month for a master’s degree from an accredited college or university. For commissioned officers hired after 12/27/86, a degree must be in Administration of Justice, a related field, or meet the requirements of the department. Academic degrees earned must be from a degree-granting institution which has been accredited by the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers and certified as eligible by Human Resources. Commissioned officers are not eligible for tuition reimbursement from the City of Wichita.
Educational Differential. Each bargaining unit employee who has of the hire date, or subsequently obtains, an associate’s degree or higher degree, shall be paid an additional $.50 per hour, such to be added to the employee’s hourly rate.
Educational Differential. 25.1 Effective July 1, 2019, with the new pay scale, education differential is included in the scale. 26.1 Firefighters covered by this Agreement, shall receive holiday pay at a rate of one fifth (1/5) their accumulated base pay.
26.1.1 Those days that are considered holidays shall be limited to holiday routine.
26.2 Probationary firefighters shall not be entitled to holiday pay until after they have completed ninety (90) days employment.
26.3 Two (2) Personal Days (Floaters) per fiscal year may be taken by the firefighter in accordance with Article 27, Clause 27.
Educational Differential. The Employer will pay additional compensation above the base rate, in the sum of one thousand five hundred dollars ($1,500) per year to a regular full-time Employee who holds a baccalaureate degree and one thousand eight hundred fifty dollars ($1,850) to any Employee who holds a master’s degree or a doctorate degree from an accredited educational institution. Compensation under this section must be for a degree in nursing or a degree from an accredited institution in an allied field, as determined by the Employer. Regular part-time Employees will be entitled to a proportionate benefit under this section. The effective date of such differential shall be the date the Employer is notified of receipt of appropriate degree by the Employee.
Educational Differential. Teaching Assistants who secure an Associate’s Degree or higher in a related field shall receive an educational differential of $1,000 per year payable payable within two pay periods following submission of official proof that the degree has been conferred.
