Minimum Observation Criteria. During each school year each employee shall be observed for the purpose of evaluation at least twice in the performance of his/her assigned duties. Total observation time for each employee for each school year shall be not less than sixty (60) minutes. A minimum of one observation for a total observation time of thirty (30) continuous minutes shall be required in connection with the evaluation of new employees under paragraph 2.C.(1), herein (unless short form evaluation is being used).

The teacher-selected criteria must be approved by the evaluator and may have been identified in a previous comprehensive summative evaluation as benefiting from additional attention or as an area of expertise to be further developed. A group of teachers may focus on the same evaluation criteria and share professional growth activities. The evaluation of classroom teachers will include the following:
