Office/Unit. An office/unit is an identifiable group of rotating shift workers who normally perform the same basic functions at a particular worksite and who are normally scheduled in conjunction with one another.
Office/UnitAn employee recalled to perform overtime work after they have left work for the day will be paid a minimum of three (3) hours at time and one-half (1-1/2).

The Owner of the Office Unit shall have an easement for access to such utility lines and utility facilities which serve the garage of the Office Unit.
Office/UnitEmployees shall have access to an electronic statement and shall be paid by direct deposit on alternate Thursdays no later than 4 p.m. The Union shall be consulted prior to any change to the pay-day or pay period. Employees may have the option of directly depositing a portion of their pay into each of up to three separate accounts, each of which can be at the same or different financial institutions, including Alterna Savings and Credit Union Ltd., as designated by the employee.
Office/UnitThe Corporation shall provide uniform items of clothing to those employees required to wear a uniform while performing Corporation business. Such issued items must not be worn during off-duty hours.
Office/UnitEmployees assigned to relieve non-union supervisory personnel will receive a premium of per hour above the highest rate in the department. Employees assigned to relieve non-union personnel for a full shift will receive a per hour premium above his/her regular hourly rate.
Office/UnitWith the exception of those employees who have less than ninety days of service in promotions, layoffs, and in there-employment of seasonal employees, if the employee has the necessary qualifications and ability, the principles of seniority will govern. When the management promotes, lay-offs, recalls or re- employs, and does not follow the principles of seniority, the Standing Committee of the Signatory Union may take exception to the Management’s actions in this regard and shall be privileged to present recommendations which will be considered by the Management prior to action by the Management. In cases where time does not permit such prior consultation, the Management shall, wherever practical, take temporary action only until the recommendations of the Standing Committee can be obtained. In case of disagreement, procedure as outlined in Section Adjustment of Complaints, may apply. Where department seniority is established for the Payroll Clerk and Accounting Assistant, the order of position in this line of progression is by job rates. Any employee promoted to a supervisory or staff position which removes him from the bargaining unit shall retain his plant and department seniority within the bargaining unit for a period of two months. In addition, he will retain his plant seniority within the bargaining unit for a further four months. Union membership shall be maintained during this period. Any extension of the above shall be by mutual agreement and limited to one month intervals during which all conditions above shall apply. a vacancy in any of the office work classifications listed in the Wage Schedule, such vacancies shall be posted for a period of one week. In the selection of a job candidate seniority shall be the deciding factor providing the employee has the qualifications and ability required for the job. Exceptions of this procedure will be the job of Payroll Clerk and Scheduler. Vacancies for the scheduler classification will be filled by the senior candidate from the corrugator department with the necessary qualifications and ability. This is the only exception to the seniority preamble clause dealing with the intermingling of seniority.
Office/UnitA temporary employee in the Office Unit shall be paid the start rate for the applicable classification as per Schedule for the term of employment with the Corporation. Students shall be defined as an employee hired on a co-operative training program from any educational institute, or students employed at any time during the period between February and September or during winter school breaks and other times mutually agreed upon by the parties. In this Agreement, wherever the masculine gender is used it shall be construed to be the masculine or feminine, as the context requires. Also in this agreement, wherever the term ‘employee’ is used it shall be construed to mean permanent, full-time, regular employee unless otherwise identified. The articles of the collective agreement will apply to both the Outside and Office work units unless specifically indicated otherwise. Specifically, the subheadings “Outside or “Office preceding an article, or the reference tooutside employees” or “office employees” within an article, shall denote a provision applying either to the Outside work unit or to the Office work unit, respectively.
