Overtime – Monday to Friday. The Parties to this Agreement recognise that the Company may require an Employee to work reasonable overtime to meet operational requirements. Reasonable overtime will be determined having regard to: i) Any risk to an Employee’s health and safety (e.g. Fatigue management); ii) The Employee's personal circumstances including family responsibilities, iii) The need of the workplace or the Company; iv) The notice (if any) given by the Company of the overtime and by the Employee of his / her intention to refuse it; v) Whether the overtime is to be worked on a public holiday; vi) The overtime worked by an Employee over the previous four week period; and vii) Any other relevant matter Overtime is payable for work completed in addition to or outside of the established ordinary hours. Overtime will be paid at the following rates: • First 2 hours after ordinary time – at the rate of time and a half (i.e. 150% the ordinary hourly rate) • Overtime thereafter – at the rate of double time (i.e. 200% the ordinary hourly rate).

Overtime – Monday to Friday. When an employee (other than a casual employee) is required to work overtime he or she will be provided with at least 10 consecutive hours off duty between the conclusion of overtime work and the commencement of their ordinary work on the next day. An employee (other than a casual employee) who has not had at least ten (10) consecutive hours off duty between those times must, be released after completion of the overtime until the employee has had 10 consecutive hours off duty without loss of pay. If on the instructions of the Employer an employee resumes or continues work without having had the ten (10) consecutive hours off duty the employee must be paid at double rates until he or she is released from duty for ten (10) consecutive hours. The employee is then entitled to be absent until he or she has had ten (10) consecutive hours off duty without loss of pay. If an employee’s ten (10) hours rest period ends within two (2) hours of his/her normal finishing time, the employee is not required to report for work on that day.
Overtime – Monday to Friday. Employees who are required to work overtime for a continuous period either before their ordinary commencing time or after their ordinary finishing time are allowed: a) leave as after 1 hour 30 minutes - a meal break of 20 minutes b) after 4 hours - a second meal break of 20 minutes but only if the employees continue the overtime for at least another hour c) after 8 hours - a third meal break of 20 minutes but only if the employees continue the overtime for at least another hour. The meal break must be paid at the appropriate overtime rate. Employees may take the first meal break: a) during ordinary working hours without loss of pay if the entitlement coincides with the ordinary commencing time; or b) at the commencement of the overtime or later by arrangement with the supervisor, if the period of continuous overtime begins after the ordinary finishing time.

Employees called out on overtime shall be paid for meals as above, after four (4) hours work.

  • Holiday Coinciding with a Day of Vacation Where an employee is on vacation leave and a day of paid holiday falls within that period, the paid holiday shall not count as a day of vacation.
