Paternity/Adoption Leave. An employee shall be entitled to twelve (12) months unpaid leave which can be taken in any combination before or after the birth or adoption of a child.
Paternity/Adoption Leave. The Employer, upon the request of a Member, and receipt of a medical certificate stating that a Member's spouse is pregnant, shall grant the Member one day of paternity leave without loss of pay, benefits or deduction from sick leave. This leave may be taken at the Member's discretion, in whole or in part, during the pregnancy or following the birth of a child. A Member adopting a child who does not take parental leave in accordance with 18.01, Pregnancy and Parental Leave, shall be entitled to three (3) days of adoption leave without loss of pay, benefits or deduction from sick leave.
Paternity/Adoption Leave. At the birth/adoption of a child, up to two (2) days leave of absence (with pay) may be taken either:
i. At the time of birth to transport spouse to and from hospital or during the term when the spouse is confined to hospital; and
ii. At the time of adoption.
Paternity/Adoption Leave. Any bargaining unit member for reasons of the birth of his child or the adoption of his child may use accumulated sick leave. Upon application, sick leave shall be granted for a total of one (1) calendar week from date of delivery or adoption for childcare. Sick leave as authorized under this section shall not exceed the number of accumulated and unused leave days to the credit of the certified staff member and earned during the period of such leave. Any certified staff member whose accumulated sick leave days are insufficient to cover the period of leave as set forth, shall be granted an interim leave for the birth of his child or the adoption of his child without pay for the period of 1 calendar week from date of delivery/adoption.
Paternity/Adoption Leave. G.22.1. Leave with pay shall be granted to an employee:
a. in the case of a birth, up to two (2) days to take their partner to the hospital, attend the birth, and return their partner and the child home;
b. in the case of adoption, up to two (2) days to pick up the child and make necessary preparations and one (1) additional day with salary less the cost of the teacher teaching on call.
G.22.2. Further leave may be granted at the discretion of the Superintendent.

Paternity/Adoption Leave. All male bargaining unit members, may utilize three (3) days of earned sick leave, in addition to the leave provided in Section 2, (c), (ii) of this Article, for a total of five (5) days leave in a week for paternity leave. Such leave must be utilized within two (2) weeks of the birth of the child. All bargaining unit members may utilize up to five (5) days of earned sick leave in the event of adoption of a child. Such leave must be utilized within two (2) weeks of obtaining custody of the child.
Paternity/Adoption Leave. An employee will be granted one (1) day leave with pay on the occasion of the birth or adoption of their child. This Article is not applicable to employees who are on pregnancy/maternity leave.
Paternity/Adoption Leave. Upon the birth of a child, or in order to make final arrangements to adopt a child or xxxxxx care placement of a child, an employee, upon verbal request, shall be granted two (2) days of leave without loss of pay. Upon return to duty, the employee must submit the appropriate leave request form.
Paternity/Adoption Leave. A leave of one (1) day without loss of pay or interruption of service shall be granted to a Long Term Occasional Teacher for the birth of the teacher’s child or to receive a child through adoption.
