PAYMENT FOR ACCRUED SICK LEAVE. Any employee who has been employed by the Board for a period of ten (10) years or more shall be paid $100.00 per day for no more than 209 unused accumulated sick leave days if said employee retires during the 2008-09, 2009-2010 or 2010-2011 school year. This paragraph shall not apply to any employee whose employment is terminated as a result of a decision of an administrative agency or a court of competent jurisdiction. If an employee dies while employed, this benefit shall be paid to the employee's estate.

The formula to be used in the calculation of sick leave pay-out for fiscal year Bargaining Unit Faculty Members is the same as used for vacation pay-out as specified in Section 28.3.1. The formula to be used in the calculation of sick leave pay out for Bargaining Unit Faculty Members with academic year appointments is: Academic year salary ÷ 9 months = monthly salary Monthly salary ÷ 21.667 days = daily pay Daily pay ÷ 8 hours = hourly pay
PAYMENT FOR ACCRUED SICK LEAVE. 16.5.1 Employees shall be eligible for payment of accrued sick leave in accordance with the Employee Handbook.

PAYMENT FOR ACCRUED SICK LEAVE. 1. During any years of employment, an employee having more than 50 sick days credit may cash in the unused sick days at one-half of the “cash value” thereof. The employee must notify the Township prior to December 1st of the end of the year. The employee shall receive the payment in January of the subsequent year.
