PAYMENT FOR TIME OFF. 8.1 Where paid time off is granted, the union rep will receive the amount they would have earned had they worked during the time taken or, where earnings vary with the work done, an amount calculated by reference to the average hourly earnings for the work they are employed to do. This amount will include average bonus or overtime payments where these are contractual. 8.2 Senior branch officers who spend the whole of their contractual time on trade union duties and / or activities will be entitled to the full package of pay and conditions which they would normally have received had they been working, including all allowances and any rights to professional training or registration. Travelling and subsistence costs will be reimbursed to accredited representatives for periods of work approved in accordance with this agreement. Where representatives attend meetings called by management, management will always try to ensure that the meetings take place while the appropriate representatives are on duty, either by adjusting dates of meetings or amending rotas with the agreement of the individual concerned. However. when representatives, other than those with full-time secondment, attend meetings called by management during their normal working hours which extend beyond normal finishing time, they will be paid at plain time rates for the additional hours worked, except that, where earnings vary with the work done, the amount will be calculated by reference to the average hourly earnings for the work they are employed to do, including average bonus or contractual overtime payments. Where representatives attend meetings called by management which occur entirely in their off-duty time, they will be reimbursed for the hours spent at the meetings at plain time rates. [If you are unable to secure payment for duties performed during off-duty time, an alternative would be the following] If a meeting is to take place on the representative's day off or while the representative is not on duty, an equivalent amount of time off in lieu will be given at a time agreeable to both parties, subject to the contingencies of the service. Part-time employees who are required to attend recognised training courses as detailed above will be paid for the whole of their attendance time, even if it exceeds their normal working hours.
PAYMENT FOR TIME OFF. 16.1 Trade Union representatives engaged on recognised duties as indicated above will be paid either the amount they would have earned had they worked during the time taken or, where earnings vary with the work done, an amount calculated by reference to the average hourly earnings for the work they are employed to do. PAYMENT FOR TIME OFF. 8.1 Payment for agreed time off will be the trade union representative’s normal pay for their contracted hours. 8.2 Where a trade union representative works flexible hours (such as night shift, or part time hours) and it has been necessary to perform trade union duties or attend training outside of these hours (with City Council agreement) payment may be made for the hours. 8.3 Payment will be at the trade union representative’s normal basic rate of pay. In all cases, the amount of time off must be reasonable. 8.4 Part time employees undertaking trade union duties shall only receive pay and entitlements up to the level of a full time employee when undertaking trade union duties which cannot be accommodated within their normal working hours and which are accepted by management as qualifying as reasonable time off.
PAYMENT FOR TIME OFF. If the injury or illness is deemed compensable, the employee shall be paid directly by the Township in the following manner: 1. An employee off work due to an injury or illness deemed compensable by the Workers’ Compensation Commission shall be paid by the Township their regular normal salary at the time injured. Payment of the regular normal salary shall continue until the employee returns to work or has been paid a total of twenty-six (26) weeks normal salary (minus applicable tax withholding), whichever occurs first. Payment will be subject to the following conditions: a) All normal payroll deductions will be made from each payment issued by the Township. b) Any payments received by the employee from the insurance company shall be endorsed to, and returned to, the Township. When notification is received by the Township that the employee has received a payment from the insurance company, and if such payment has not been returned to the Township, the amount of payment shall be deducted from the employee’s next Township paycheck. Deductions will continue until all insurance payments are recovered by the Township. An employee shall execute any and all necessary documentation to allow the deduction. Refusal to cooperate may result in forfeiture of this benefit or other action. c) No deductions shall be made from the employee’s sick leave or vacation accumulations to cover payments from the Township. 2. An employee unable to return to work within the twenty-six (26) week period described in Section 1 shall no longer receive regular normal salary payments from the Township, nor shall their accrual for vacation, sick leave or other benefits continue. However, the employee may be eligible to receive (66.6%) of normal salary from the following sources:
PAYMENT FOR TIME OFF. Having granted time off with pay, the PCT will pay either: 8.1 The amount that would have been earned had the representative worked during the period, or; 8.2 where earnings are variable, an amount calculated by reference to the average hourly earnings for the work they are employed to do based on an average of the preceding 4 weeks.
PAYMENT FOR TIME OFF. ‌ 5.1 Unison representatives engaged on recognised duties (see Appendix 1) are paid at their normal rate of pay. 5.2 Travel and subsistence costs will not be reimbursed by the council.
