Performance Goals and Indicators. The Parties acknowledge and agree that this Contract is intended to and shall be a performance-based multi-year contract of employment under and pursuant to 105 ILCS 5/10-23.8a. Annually, the Principal shall (1) evaluate student performance, including, but not limited to, student performance in standardized tests such as the Illinois Standardized Tests, successful completion of the curriculum, and attendance drop-out rates; (2) review the curriculum and instructional services; and (3) report to the Superintendent on her findings as to: (a) student performance; and (b) her recommendations, if any, for curriculum or instructional changes as a result of her evaluation of student performance. The presentation of the report shall constitute the achievement of the goals and indicators of student performance and academic improvement as required by Section 10-23.8a of the Illinois School Code. The Superintendent shall determine whether the Principal has met the goals above using the criteria described in the goals themselves, as well as the Superintendent’s own judgment as to whether the Principal has exhibited the leadership, guidance and effort needed to achieve the goals. The Superintendent shall make this determination after an evaluation of the Principal and shall issue his determination in writing and present it to the Principal as part of the evaluation process.
Performance Goals and Indicators. The performance areas that have been selected for enhancement are those where there is assurance that the data can be:
Performance Goals and Indicators. In accordance with Section 10-23.8 of the School Code [105 ILCS 5/10-23.8], the parties have established goals and performance indicators for the Superintendent of Schools for the term of this Agreement, which goals and indicators are attached hereto as Exhibit A. As of the execution of this contract, the Board of Education affirmatively finds that all of the goals to be achieved by the Superintendent under her prior agreement with the Board have been met and the same shall be deemed vested and the contract shall be deemed fully executed by and between the parties and fully performed thereof. The following steps will be taken by the Board and the Superintendent to facilitate achievement of the goals and assessment of student performance and academic improvement:
a. By no later than September 30 of each year of this Agreement, the Superintendent will prepare for review and approval by the Board, in its sole discretion, refined and/or additional goals, if any, and a program for achievement of the goals within a recommended period of time. The program for achievement of the goals will also refine and identify in greater detail the indicators of student performance and academic improvement for assessment purposes. It is expected that all of the goals will be achieved by the end of the contract, unless otherwise agreed by the Superintendent and the Board due to unexpected circumstances or a decision to delete or substantially modify any of the goals. As part of the Superintendent’s annual evaluation, which shall be completed by the Board’s December regular business meeting, the Superintendent and the Board will review progress toward achievement of the goals and the Board may make modifications to the goals and/or the program to achieve the goals. The Board and the Superintendent will also strive to conduct interim reviews several times each contract year at the request of the Superintendent and/or Board and as the business of the Board permits. The Board and the Superintendent recognize that achievement of the goals and improvement of student academic performance is dependent on continued Board support of the goals, including the provision of adequate financial support within available resources. The Board and the Superintendent also recognize that circumstances beyond the control of the Board and/or the Superintendent may prevent attainment, or require modification, of any of the goals. Performance Goals and Indicators. In accordance with the requirements of the School Code, the parties agree that the following performance goals for the Superintendent have been established with respect to student performance and academic improvement, including the indicators listed beneath the goals that shall be used by the Board to measure the Superintendent’s performance:
Goal 1. The Superintendent shall complete or substantially complete the Strategic Goals of the District’s 2018-2022 Strategic Plan, as measured by the following indicators:
a. The Superintendent will provide a report to the Board concluding implementation of the 2018-2022 Strategic Plan.
Goal 2. The Superintendent shall engage the community to guide the creation of a new strategic vision for the District, as measured by the following indicators:
a. In coordination with the community and the Board, the Superintendent will develop and submit to the Board a new Strategic Plan. The Board shall determine whether the Superintendent has met the performance goals above using the criteria described in the goals themselves, as well as Board members’ own judgment as to whether the Superintendent has exhibited the leadership, guidance, and effort needed to achieve the goals. The Board shall issue its determination in writing and present it to the Superintendent. The Board reserves the right, with input from the Superintendent, to modify or replace the performance goals and indicators in any contract year. Further, in addition to the performance goals and indicators set forth in this contract, the Board and the Superintendent will agree on additional annual goals for the Superintendent. These additional annual goals are not intended to be performance goals within the meaning of the School Code, but they will be used in conducting the Superintendent’s annual evaluation.
Performance Goals and Indicators. 1. The School District has established goals for the performance of children with disabilities that:
a. Promote the purposes of IDEA, as stated in 34 C.F.R. §300.1;
b. Are the same as the State’s objective for progress by children in its definition of adequate yearly progress under §111(b)(2)(c) of the ESEA and are consistent, to the extent appropriate with any other goals and academic standards for children established by the State; and
c. Address graduation and dropout rates.
2. The School District has established performance indicators that will be used to assess progress towards achieving the goals described in subparagraph 1 above. LEGAL REF.: 20 U.S.C. §§ 1412 (State eligibility), 1413 (local educational agency eligibility), 1418 (program information).

Environmental goals and indicators are outlined in Table 4. “EPI” stands for Environmental Performance Indicator which is a specific criterion that provides information about the XL Participant’s environmental performance. In Table 4 EPIs are classified by “Type” as either pollution prevention, compliance (streamlined regulatory requirements) or environmental awareness to be consistent with the description of “Environmental Results” set forth in Section III.A. “Purpose” and “Goals” should be self-explanatory. As discussed in Section III.G “Monitoring, Reporting and Evaluation Methods,” a baseline assessment will be conducted at each XL Participant site. The baseline assessment will include:
1. a survey of hazardous chemicals of concern and quantity stored on the shelf in those laboratories covered by this Laboratory XL Project;
2. a measurement of laboratory wastes generated during a defined time period (e.g. over a six month period);
Performance Goals and Indicators. Each Contract Year, the Chief Officer and the Superintendent shall meet and the Superintendent, in consultation with the Chief Officer, shall establish performance goals that the Chief Officer will be expected to meet. Such performance goals shall be established no later than September 1of each Contract Year and shall be incorporated in this paragraph D.3 by reference for such Contract Year. The Superintendent shall also determine whether the Chief Officer has met the performance goals using criteria described in the goals themselves, as well as the Superintendent’s own judgment as to whether the Chief Officer has exhibited the leadership, guidance and effort needed to achieve the goals. The Superintendent shall make this determination after an evaluation of the Chief Officer and shall issue the determination in writing and present it to the Chief Officer as part of the evaluation process. The parties acknowledge that the action to incorporate such additional performance goals into this Contract shall be in implementation of this provision of this Contract and shall not constitute or require an amendment to this Contract.

In accordance with the requirements of Section 10-23.8a of the School Code for multi-year employment contracts, the parties agree that performance goals for the PRINCIPAL have been established with respect to student performance and academic improvement. Annually, the PRINCIPAL shall (1) evaluate student performance, including, but not limited to, student performance in standardized tests such as the Illinois Standardized Tests, successful completion of the curriculum, and attendance drop-out rates; (2) review the curriculum and instructional services; and (3) report to the Superintendent on his/her findings as to: (a) student performance; and (b) his/her recommendations, if any, for curriculum or instructional changes as a result of his/her evaluation of student performance. The presentation of the report shall constitute the achievement of the goals and indicators of student performance and academic improvement as required by Section 10-23.8a of the Illinois School Code. The Board reserves the right, with input from the Superintendent and the PRINCIPAL, to modify or replace these performance goals in any Contract Year and/or to establish additional annual goals for the PRINCIPAL that are not intended to be performance goals within the meaning of the School Code. The Board’s or Superintendent’s decision to add or revise additional annual goals shall be in implementation of this provision of this Contract and shall not constitute or require an amendment to this Contract.
