Permissible Uses. Operators may use sick leave for absence due to the operator's illness, injury, doctor's or dentist's appointments (limited to the time of the appointment plus reasonable travel time), exposure to contagious disease which could be communicated to other operators, and absence due to illness, injury or death in the operator's immediate family, when the operator's presence is necessary. In the event that the City offers an alternative assignment on a temporary basis to an employee who is unable to perform his/her normal job duties due to work-related injury or illness and the City provides reasonable productive accommodations for the employee, and the employee refuses to return to work, the employee may not use sick leave for their absence. The assignment shall be consistent with the employee’s physician’s return to work restrictions. Interpretation of immediate family in terms of serious illness, or injury is generally determined to be the spouse, parents, (either natural, step, xxxxxx or in-law), siblings, children (natural, step, xxxxxx or in-law) and other relatives living in the operator's household. However, the Communications Director is authorized to evaluate the individual operator's family relationship in determining what other family members might be considered to be immediate family because of the closeness of their relationship. For purposes of bereavement leave the immediate family shall include spouse, parent, parent-in-law, step-parent, child, step-child, brother, sister, grandparent, grandchild, half-brother, half-sister, grandparent-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law and other relatives living in the employee’s household, or any person for whom an employee serves as legal guardian. Upon the death of a qualifying family member up to three (3) work days of bereavement leave shall be granted by the City. The Communications Director may extend such leave up to a total of seven (7) workdays. The Director may require verification for the use of bereavement leave. Bereavement leave days shall be deducted from accrued sick leave days.
Permissible Uses. Personal information referred to in subsection (a) shall be disclosed for use in connection with matters of motor vehicle or driver safety and theft, motor vehicle emissions, motor vehicle product alterations, recalls, or advisories, performance monitoring of motor vehicles and dealers by motor vehicle manufacturers, and removal of non-owner records from the original owner records of motor vehicle manufacturers to carry out the purposes of titles I and IV of the Anti Car Theft Act of 1992, the Automobile Information Disclosure Act (15 U.S.C. 1231 et seq.), the Clean Air Act (42 U.S.C. 7401 et seq.), and chapters 301, 305, and 321–331 of title 49, and, subject to subsection (a)(2), may be disclosed as follows: (1) For use by any government agency, including any court or law enforcement agency, in carrying out its functions, or any private person or entity acting on behalf of a Federal, State, or local agency in carrying out its functions. (2) For use in connection with matters of motor vehicle or driver safety and theft; motor vehicle emissions; motor vehicle product alterations, recalls, or advisories; performance monitoring of motor vehicles, motor vehicle parts and dealers; motor vehicle market research activities, including survey research; and removal of non-owner records from the original owner records of motor vehicle manufacturers. (3) For use in the normal course of business by a legitimate business or its agents, employees, or contractors, but only- (A) to verify the accuracy of personal information submitted by the individual to the business or its agents, employees, or contractors; and (B) if such information as so submitted is not correct or is no longer correct, to obtain the correct information, but only for the purposes of preventing fraud by, pursuing legal remedies against, or recovering on a debt or security interest against, the individual.
Permissible UsesSick leave may be granted to an employee, upon approval by the Employer, for the following reasons: A. Illness, injury or pregnancy related condition of the employee. B. Exposure of an employee to a contagious disease which could be communicated to and jeopardize the health of other employees or the public. C. Examination of the employee, including medical, psychological, dental or optical examination, by an approved practitioner, which cannot be scheduled during non-work time.
Permissible UsesSick leave may be applied only to: A. Absence due to illness, injury or pregnancy of an employee. B. Absence due to medical and dental office appointments of an employee when approved by the employee's supervisor. X. Xxxxxxx for the care of the employee's father, father-in-law, mother, mother-in-law, brother, sister, husband, wife, domestic partner, child, child of domestic partner, grandparent, grandchild, legal guardian, or any family member with whom the employee resides. X. Xxxxxxx due to a job-related injury. X. Xxxxxxx related to an employee who is a victim of domestic violence, sexual assault, or stalking, for the purposes described in Labor Code sections 230(c) and 230.1(a).

Permissible Uses. Members may use sick leave for absence due to the member’s illness, injury, doctor or dentist appointments, or exposure to contagious disease that could be communicated to other employees, and absence due to serious illness or injury or death in the employee’s immediate family. Use of said leave will be on an hour-for-hour basis. Sick leave uses for routine medical/dental appointments are subject to approval of the Fire Chief or designee. Members will make every effort to schedule such appointments on their days off.

Permissible Uses. Lessee may not use any of the Premises, or permit another person to use the Premises, for any purpose other than as permitted under Section 1.2, unless the Lessee obtains the Lessor’s prior written consent.

Emergency copying to replace purchased copies which for any reason are not available for an imminent performance provided purchased replacement copies shall be substituted in due course. (a) For academic purposes other than performance, multiple copies of excerpts of works may be made, provided that the excerpts do not comprise a part of the whole which would constitute a performable unit such as a section, movement or aria, but in no case more than 10% of the whole work. The number of copies shall not exceed one copy per pupil. (b) For academic purposes other than performance, a single copy of an entire performable unit (section, movement, aria, etc.) that is, (1) confirmed by the copyright proprietor to be out of print or (2) unavailable except in a larger work, may be made by or for a teacher solely for the purpose of his or her scholarly research or in preparation to teach a class. 3. Printed copies which have been purchased may be edited or simplified provided that the fundamental character of the work is not distorted or the lyrics, if any, altered or lyrics added if none exist. 4. A single copy of recordings of performances by students may be made for evaluation or rehearsal purposes and may be retained by the educational institution or individual teacher. 5. A single copy of a sound recording (such as a tape, disc or cassette) of copyrighted music may be made from sound recordings owned by an educational institution or an individual teacher for the purpose of constructing aural exercises or examinations and may be retained by the educational institution or individual teacher. (This pertains only to the copyright of the music itself and not to any copyright which may exist in the sound recording.)
Permissible UsesPersonal leave may be used for: Own wedding; college graduation for self, spouse, son or daughter; taking son or daughter to college; legal transactions; court business; religious; fostering; child rearing; adoption or others at the discretion of the School Business Administrator.
