PERSONAL (SICK AND CARER’S) LEAVE. (a) Personal Leave is to be used in situations where an employee is unable to attend for work due to personal injury or illness (Xxxx Leave) or due to the need to care for or support a member of the Employee’s immediate family or household because of a personal illness or injury of the member or an unexpected emergency affecting the member (Xxxxx’s Leave).
PERSONAL (SICK AND CARER’S) LEAVE. 44.1. The parties recognise that excessive absenteeism is both costly and disruptive for the Council. On the other hand the parties also recognise the need for honesty, co-operation, flexibility and compassion in the managing and the taking of personal leave.

PERSONAL (SICK AND CARER’S) LEAVE. All sick/carers leave entitlements shall be in accordance with the provisions of the Award. Sick/Carers Leave balance entitlements for employees shall accumulate to a maximum of 32 weeks. Uncapping of other sick leave not included as an accrual may be approved by the CEO on a case-by-case basis.

  • Industrial Accident or Illness Leave 7.6.1 All unit members shall receive sixty (60) days’ leave with pay in any one fiscal year for an industrial accident or illness. An industrial accident or illness is defined as one where the unit member becomes ill or is injured while he/she is serving the District, and, the accident or illness is reported to the District’s Self-Insurance Program in accordance with District regulations, and, the District Self-Insurance Program accepts responsibility for the treatment of the unit member.
