Planning/Conference Time. 3.6.1 All full-time elementary employees shall be provided instructional planning time of two hundred eighty (280) minutes per instructional week within the standard student day as scheduled by the building site council. At least one hundred eighty (180) minutes will be scheduled in a thirty (30) minute or longer block of time. No planning period will be less than thirty (30) minutes in length, with the exception of recess. All schools are permitted to use one hundred (100) minutes of recess time toward the total amount of planning time. Building site councils are encouraged to create longer blocks of planning time by combining specialist time with lunch/recess and/or through other creative scheduling. Instructional planning time will be provided on a pro rata basis for less than full-time employees. The time that an employee’s students are with a subject area specialist(s) or at recess will be available for the employee’s instructional planning time. Data team meeting time shall not be taken out of the 280 minutes of planning time above. Secondary classroom teachers’ planning time will be equivalent to a class period or prorated portion of a class period if the teacher is part-time. Planning time is for the employee to prepare, plan, and confer with students, parents/guardians, administration, or staff. Regularly scheduled meetings shall not be mandated during planning time. With the exception of class coverage and emergency situations, planning time will be at the discretion of the teacher.
Planning/Conference Time a. Bargaining unit members in grades K to twelve (12) will be scheduled to have planning conference time of two hundred (200) minutes per week. It is understood and agreed that teachers may receive reduced planning time during those days when there is an early release, when school is delayed or cancelled or on days when schedules are altered due to testing. b. Principals will schedule planning/conference time on a regular, daily basis whenever possible, and as equitably as possible among all teaching staff members. c. Planning/Conference time will be used for planning, teacher based team meetings and parent/pupil conferences as appropriate. Teacher based team meetings will not be required more than once per week.

Each teacher at the middle school (6-8) and high school (9-12) shall receive no less than two hundred (200) minutes of planning/conference time during the student day each week. Such planning/conference time shall be in no less than thirty (30) minute blocks. 2. Each teacher at the elementary level (K-5) shall receive no less than an average over the school year of: two hundred (200) minutes planning/ conference time each week.
Planning/Conference Time. During the member work day, Members shall have two hundred (200) minutes of planning/conference time per week. Planning/conference time will be used primarily for completion of those tasks the member deems necessary for the performance of his or her job related responsibilities. Planning/conference time may also be used for conferring with parents and/or administrators and for member initiated conferences with students. Planning/conference time for members shall be exclusive of their duty free lunch and the required time at the beginning and end of each day. Planning/conference time at the elementary level will be provided chiefly as a result of the employment of members in special areas such as music, art and physical education. Part-time members shall be given a daily paid planning/conference time on a pro-rata basis.
Planning/Conference Time. On full student days, all secondary employees shall have the same duration of planning time equal to the length of an instructional period All elementary employees shall have a period of fifty (50) minutes for planning each full student day. The planning time at the elementary shall be provided through the use of special teachers, i.e. music, art, PE, foreign language, computer. One teacher per grade level may remain indoors supervising students during outdoor classroom. All instruction of students shall be provided by certified teachers including time spent in the elementary, outdoors classroom. The amount, not to exceed thirty (30) minutes, and the clock hour of outdoor education shall be determined by the building administrator collaboratively with the elementary teachers affected. On days when the student schedule is changed due to weather delays, the administration will provide a shortened student schedule that allows for equal planning time for teachers.

  • Annual Conference Vote This Disaffiliation Agreement must be “ratified by a simple majority of the members . . . present and voting” at a duly-called session of The Western North Carolina Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church, as required by Judicial Council Decision 1379 and ¶ 2529.1b(3)

  • Church Conference Vote At least two-thirds (2/3) of the professing members present at a church conference of the Local Church must vote to disaffiliate from The United Methodist Church “for reasons of conscience regarding a change in the requirements and provisions of the Book of Discipline related to the practice of homosexuality or the ordination or marriage of self-avowed practicing homosexuals as resolved and adopted by the 2019 General Conference, or the actions or inactions of its annual conference related to these issues which follow.” Local Church shall provide documentation, to the satisfaction of Annual Conference, which evidences the result of the disaffiliation vote taken at the church conference. Such documentation must be certified by an authorized officer of Local Church and shall be included as an Exhibit A to this Disaffiliation Agreement.

  • PRE-JOB CONFERENCE a) The Employer shall notify the union that a project has been awarded to the Employer following the award. Prior to the start of each project, a pre-job conference shall be held to determine all site-specific issues as outlined in the Agreement. This conference may be conducted via telephone, through a scheduled meeting or by some other practical means as agreed to by the parties. b) A copy of the pre-job conference report shall be provided to the Employer, the Union and the Job Xxxxxxx (s). A copy shall also be posted on the bulletin board(s) at the jobsite.

  • Parent-Teacher Conferences A. Unit member shall be available at mutually arranged times during the regular school day to confer with parents regarding learning difficulties, student progress and/or behavioral problems a student may be experiencing. Unit members are encouraged to arrange a meeting or conference with parents before or after the regular school day if both time and place are mutually agreeable. B. In the event that a bargaining unit member does not communicate with a parent on the established date for parent unit member conferences as per the calendar adopted by the Board, a reasonable attempt to contact that parent will be made. A reasonable attempt constitutes a phone call or email. If that contact is not returned, the bargaining unit member shall not be obligated to make further contact.

  • Conference Telephone Meetings Directors or members of any committee of the Board may participate in a meeting of the Board or such committee by means of conference telephone or similar communications equipment by means of which all persons participating in the meeting can hear each other, and such participation in a meeting shall constitute presence in person at such meeting.

  • SPECIAL CONFERENCES Special conferences for important matters may be arranged between the Union and the designated representative of the Board upon the request of either party.

  • Parent Conferences A. 1. Elementary and exceptional education schools shall be dismissed early a minimum of four (4) half days during the school year to grant teachers time for parent-teacher conferences.

  • Conference Leave Upon written request, supported by a copy of an invitation, an employee shall be granted leave paid at full salary of up to two thirty-fifths of their Appointment Contract(s) to present papers at academic conferences. Such leave shall not be claimed if an authorized exchange of services agreeable to the employee can be arranged.

(c) A majority of the Shares present at such meeting, either in person or by proxy, and entitled to vote thereat, shall constitute a quorum for the purpose of such meeting, unless any such matter to be acted upon requires the approval of two-thirds of the Voting shares, in which case two-thirds of the Shares present at such meeting, either in person or by proxy, and entitled to vote thereat, shall constitute a quorum for the purpose of such meeting. The Delaware Court of Chancery may issue such orders as may be appropriate, including orders designating the time and place of such meeting, the record date for determination of Members entitled to vote, and the form of notice of such meeting. (d) No Members or group of Members, acting in its or their capacity as Members, shall have the right to call a meeting of the Members.
