Professional Experience Leave. The District shall recognize that appropriate professional experiences in a variety of fields or other situations may contribute to the professional growth of an Employee. Professional experience leave may be approved by the Superintendent or designee subject to the following provisions: 7.18.1 Professional Experience Leave shall be without pay; 7.18.2 If acceptable to the insurance carriers, the District shall allow Employees on such leave to continue any or all portions of their fringe benefit insurance programs via direct monthly payments to the District. 7.18.3 Any Employee who fails to make a timely payment will be discontinued from participation. Employees on such leave must make written arrangements with the payroll office. 7.18.4 Professional experience leave shall be for a period of up to two (2) years; 7.18.5 Upon returning, the Employee will be assigned to the position held before the leave, or to an equivalent position, with at least equivalent compensation; 7.18.6 Upon return, the Employee shall retain the same seniority they had at the time they began the leave; 7.18.7 Employees granted leave under this section will be subject to the same Assignment and Transfer and Retention, Layoff and Recall provisions as other Employees during the duration of such leave.

Professional Experience Leave. Definition Leave for professional experience in business or industry. Professional Experience Fund Each year, during the period July to June the College shall make available of Academic Staff Member salaries, as determined by the previous June payroll applicable to Probationary, Continuing and Adjunct Employees for Experience Leave. The College agrees that all unspent funds shall accumulate in a special account for allocation by the Faculty Professional Development Committee as per sub-section Professional Experience Application for leave or assistance must be made in writing to the Chairman of the Faculty Professional Development Committee and received no later than February of the preceding Academic Year. Professional Experience Leave Duration and scheduling shall be subject to agreement between the Academic Staff Member and the Faculty Professional Development Committee. Remuneration during Professional Experience Leave. The College will pay an amount sufficient to make an Academic Staff Members’ salary equal to current salary at a percent category, provided charges against the professional experience leave fund will not exceed the provisions in “Faculty Development and Educational Assistance”. Academic Staff Members on professional experience leave will be eligible for an increment in the usual manner providing performance has been satisfactory to the outside employer. In the event the charges against the Professional Experience Fund were determined to be in excess of that allowed in “Faculty Development and Educational Assistance.”, the charges will be reduced to the maximum allowable, and the salary to the Academic Staff Member will be reduced by the amount of that excess. Where the income to the College resulting from the Staff Members outside employment during Professional Experience exceeds the Academic Staff Member’s normal College salary, this difference will be paid to the Academic Staff Member at the end of the approved leave. All outside income earned while on professional leave will be paid directly to the College. After returning to the College from professional experience leave, an Academic Staff Member may renew the accumulation of eligibility for a leave.   • Professional Leave Professional leave without pay will be granted to full-time and regular part-time Nurses who are elected to the College of Nurses to attend regularly scheduled meetings of the College of Nurses. Professional leave without pay will be granted to Registered Nurses who are elected to the RNAO to attend regularly scheduled meetings. Professional leave without pay will be granted to Registered Practical Nurses who are elected to the RPNAO to attend regularly scheduled meetings.

  • Professional Improvement Leave A teacher may be granted leave to be used for the teacher's professional improvement. Professional improvement days may be approved by the superintendent and used for the purpose of: 1. Visitation to view other instructional techniques or programs. 2. Conferences, workshops, or seminars conducted by colleges, universities, or vocational schools. The teacher planning to use a professional improvement day shall notify the principal at least one week in advance of the proposed absence. The teacher shall be required to file a written report with the principal within one (1) week of attendance at such event. Also, the teacher may/shall be requested to return with materials and/or information to be shared with other teachers. The expense of attending such visitation, conference, workshop, or seminar will be paid by the Board when the proper reimbursement applications are sent to the district office. In cases where attendance at a convention, workshop, seminar, or other educational activity is deemed to be of value only to the individual teacher, leave may be granted for attendance with either no expenses or limited expenses being underwritten by the district. In these cases, no written or verbal reports will be required.

  • Professional Service Consultant agrees that all services and work performed under this agreement will be accomplished in a professional manner, in accordance with the accepted standards of Contractor’s profession.

  • PROFESSIONAL COMPENSATION 11.1 The basic salaries of teachers covered by this Contract shall be set in accordance with the procedures set forth in this Agreement. 11.2 The salary of the teacher will be presumed correct as shown in the Uniform Teacher’s Contract unless the teacher or the Employer furnishes evidence of error. 11.3 An explanation as to how contract salary figures are computed will accompany the first paycheck of each school year. 11.4 Basic salaries for teachers shall be paid in twenty-six (26) payments. Basic salaries for teachers shall be paid in twenty-six (26) payments in a given calendar year. Exceptions may be made with the approval of the Cash Flow Committee. A teacher may receive the balance due on his contract with the first scheduled paycheck in July by written notice to the Business Office by May 1. If May 1 occurs on a day that school is not in session, the deadline shall be the next regular school day. A teacher who makes this election shall continue each year to receive the balance due on his contract with the first scheduled paycheck in July unless he notifies the Business Office by May 1 that he prefers to be paid in twenty-six (26) payments. Teachers will be notified by the Cash Flow Committee of the Xxxxxxx Teachers’ Federation prior to June 1 in the event the balance on teachers’ contracts due on the first scheduled paycheck in July cannot be paid. 11.5 New teachers will receive one half (½) of their first pay one payroll in advance and the remaining one half (½) on the next pay date. 11.6 Effective January 1, 2009, teacher pay will be issued via direct deposit only. 11.7 The Superintendent may approve additional compensation for individual teachers who have been authorized by the Superintendent to perform additional work assignments. 11.8 Payroll deductions for teachers shall be made as required by law or as mutually agreed to by the parties. Teachers may authorize deductions for tax-sheltered annuities during open enrollment periods of the carrier companies involved. 11.9 Deductions for daily absences not covered by provisions in the Contract shall be made at the same rate as earned. 11.10 Effective January 1, 1993, the Board shall pay directly to the Indiana State Teachers Retirement Fund each teacher’s three percent (3%) contribution to the fund. 11.11 The parties recognize that the salaries which appear on Regular Teacher’s Contracts and Teacher’s Temporary Contracts will be inaccurate whenever a salary increase is approved after these contracts have been executed. At the time of a teacher’s retirement, the Employer will review these contracts and, when necessary, revise the contracts for the five (5) years of service before retirement in which the teacher’s annual compensation was highest so they accurately reflect the sums which the teacher earned in each of those five (5) years. 11.12 The parties recognize that students are entitled to be taught by fully qualified teachers, while at the same time recognizing a professional responsibility to assist in the preparation of student teachers. Therefore, supervision by a teacher of a student teacher shall be voluntary. No teacher should serve as a supervising teacher more than one-half (1/2) of the total teaching time each year. This provision was not bargained and has been included for informational purposes only. Should 11.13 If the Employer determines that any committee should continue its work during the summer, teachers belonging to the committee performing such services shall be paid on the same basis and in the same manner as summer school teachers. If the Employer determines that professional development should occur in the summer, specific teachers invited to participate shall be paid on the same basis as summer school teachers.

  • Work Experience Formula hour equivalents will be given on the basis of the following number of students enrolled at fourth week census: 5-14 students enrolled = 1 (one) formula hour 15-24 students enrolled = 2 (two) formula hours 25-34 students enrolled = 3 (three) formula hours

  • PROFESSIONAL BEHAVIOR Teachers are expected to comply with reasonable rules, regulations, and directions adopted by the Board, or its representatives, which are not inconsistent with the provisions of this Agreement, provided that a teacher may reasonably refuse to carry out an order which threatens physical safety or well being or is professionally demeaning.

  • Teaching Experience Recognized Years of Experience: Uncredited Experience:

  • Professional Engineering and Architect’s Services Professional Engineering and Architect’s Services are not permitted to be provided under this Agreement. Texas statutes prohibit the procurement of Professional Engineering and Architect’s Services through a cooperative agreement.

  • Professional Dues The school district will pay the annual dues for the Superintendent’s membership in the American Association of School Administrators, Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, and Nebraska Council of School Administrators. The Superintendent’s membership in other professional organizations will be considered annually and may be approved at the discretion of the school board.

  • Professional Services Fees You agree to pay us the professional services fees in the amounts set forth in the Investment Summary. Those amounts are payable in accordance with our Invoicing and Payment Policy. You acknowledge that the fees stated in the Investment Summary are good-faith estimates of the amount of time and materials required for your implementation. We will bill you the actual fees incurred based on the in-scope services provided to you. Any discrepancies in the total values set forth in the Investment Summary will be resolved by multiplying the applicable hourly rate by the quoted hours.
