Professional Staff Development. 1901 PURPOSE District administrators will meet individually and/or collectively with teachers at each building to collaboratively develop short and long term goals to improve the educational program for the school. Ongoing Staff Development programs will be provided to facilitate the accomplishment of individual and building goals.

Professional Staff Development. A majority of the members of the staff development committee will be classroom teachers. The members of the staff development committee will choose the chairperson to serve a one year term; however, if no other members of the committee wish to take on the responsibilities of chairperson the chairperson may hold the position for an additional term. The chairperson of the staff development committee will be compensated according to Appendix E: Extra-Duty Compensation Schedule.
Professional Staff Development. MISD shall be responsible for professional development of all full- time and part-time staff assigned to ECHS@MC, including, without limitation, instructional training, staff development aimed at working with at-risk students and technology.

The Board will attempt to contract for specific college courses, on site; Board will pay cost for individuals if no salary schedule credit is available; individuals to pay for their costs if salary schedule credit is available. 2. Recognizing that education is a highly skilled profession and further recognizing that advances do occur in educational technology and teaching methods, it is expected that the teachers continue to advance and improve their professional backgrounds and skills by participating in professional growth experiences. Examples of these experiences could include college credit, workshops, seminars, etc. The details will be determined by the North Royalton Professional Development Committee.

Professional Staff Development. 1. Professional Development (PD) is time designated for employees to receive training and development appropriate for their position, program, or school. 2. If a full-time employee is required to attend PD for a full day, the employee shall have 60 (sixty) minutes of preparation time. This time may be scheduled in 30-minute blocks by the District. Less than full-time employees may have their preparation time pro-rated.
