Recognition Pay. 1. Effective during the term of this contract, each employee who has zero (0) days of absence chargeable to sick leave and/or personal leave shall receive incentive payments from the Board according to the following schedule:
Recognition Pay. Effective January 1, 2011, the Corporation will provide for all fire fighters recognition pay of 2%, 4%, 6% after 8, 17 and 23 years of service respectively. Effective January 1, 2012, the Corporation will provide for all fire fighters recognition pay of 3%, 6%, 9% after 8, 17 and 23 years of service respectively. Recognition pay will form part of the member’s annual salary for purposes of determining the hourly rate, will be included as pensionable earnings and will be used to determine all entitlements calculated on the bases of a member’s hourly rate or annual salary.
Recognition Pay. The base salary of each member of the Association will be adjusted as follows:
(a) In the year an employee completes eight (8) years of service, an additional three (3) % of the Full Time Fire Fighter’s salary. In the year an employee completes seventeen (17) years of service, an additional six (6) % of the Full Time Fire Fighter’s salary. In the year an employee completes twenty-three (23) years of service, an additional nine (9) % of the Full Time Fire Fighter’s salary.
(b) Recognition pay will be based on the 1st class Fire Fighter’s rate and will be applied to all members of the Association.
(c) Amounts paid under this Article will be added to the member’s base end rate salary as set out in Article 15:01 Schedule A and will form part of the Full-Time Fire Fighter’s regular annual salary for the purpose of determining the hourly rate where the payment of an hourly rate is applicable under the Collective Agreement
(d) It is understood that this hourly rate will be included as a pensionable earning as defined by OMERS and will be used to calculate all entitlements under the Collective Agreement that are presently calculated on the basis of the Full-Time Fire Fighter’s hourly or regular annual salary.
(e) The Recognition Pay shall form part of the base salary and shall be paid bi-weekly.
(f) It is further understood that payments made pursuant to this Article will commence on the anniversary date the Full-Time Fire Fighter completes their year of service as set out within this Article.
(g) No Recognition pay is payable to a member for the period of the time they are on suspension without pay for disciplinary reasons.
Recognition Pay. Effective January 1, 2026, a Volunteer Firefighter who has completed 10 or more years of service shall receive an annual lump sum payment of one hundred and fifty dollars ($150) in the first quarter of the year. Payment shall only be made provided the attendance requirements of the previous year have been met. A Volunteer Firefighter who fails to meet the attendance requirement or is not actively in the workplace, shall forego their payment for that year.
1. Advancement to the next successive class of Volunteer Firefighter (excluding the Officer position, advancement to these positions is covered in Article 12) requires that a Volunteer Firefighter has, in accordance with the table below: • Completed the minimum unbroken months of service; and • Has successfully passed their next classification exam. The performance evaluations shall be completed by the Station Captain and forwarded to the Area Commander for review and action.

Recognition Pay. 7.2.1.1 Recognition Pay is to be introduced effective from January 2009. Each member shall receive recognition pay, based on the percentage indicated low of a 1 s t class Firefighter's salary in accordance with the following: Percentage Years of service Percentage Years of service

Recognition Pay. 7.3.1.1 Recognition Pay will be added to the base pay of all staff members excluding the Communications Technicians: December 31, 2009- if an employee has completed eight (8) years of service they will receive three (3) % of the Fire Fighters 1st Class salary as per Schedule I, if completed seventeen (17) years six (6) % and if completed twenty-three years, nine (9) %. To be eligible and to remain eligible an employee at the time of the signing of this agreement shall meet the following criteria:
1) has attained a level of 100% of 1st Class Fire Fighter rate, and;
2) has completed the years of service as indicated above with the Town of Halton Hills Fire Department as a full time fire fighter, and;
3) if an employee is not in receipt of their regular wages, they are not eligible to receive the bonus except in cases of W.S.I.B., S.T.D. and;
4) the employee has undergone a physical within the calendar year conducted by a qualified medical practitioner and affirmed such to the Chief of the Fire Department. Any cost associated with the physical will be the responsibility of the employee. This clause will be effective January 1, 2008. The recognition pay will form part of the regular annual salary and therefore qualify for such deductions as OMERS as defined by OMERS regulations, as well calculations for entitlements offered under the present contract based on salary. Recognition pay payments will commence the first day of January of the following year in which the employee completes the required years of service to qualify. The payment will begin the first pay of each year.

January 1, 2009- if an employee has completed eight (8) years of service they will receive three (3) % of the Fire Fighters 1st Class salary as per Schedule I, if completed seventeen (17) years five (5) % and if completed twenty-three years, seven (7) %. December 31, 2009- if an employee has completed eight (8) years of service they will receive three (3) % of the Fire Fighters 1st Class salary as per Schedule I, if completed seventeen (17) years six (6) % and if completed twenty-three years, nine (9) %. Recognition pay payments will commence the first day of January of the following year in which the employee completes the required years of service to qualify. Recognition Pay. Each Employee who has completed 8, 17, or 23 years of service shall receive recognition pay of based on the below chart :
1. Recognition Pay will apply to all forms of hourly salary including, but not limited to, straight time, bank time, overtime, vacation, lieu days, WSIB, pregnancy leave, parental leave, sick leave, other paid leaves, stand-by pay, payout of sick leave at retirement or death and terminal leave.
2. Recognition Pay will be eligible for OMERS. Recognition Pay will also be recognized for Life Insurance, Accidental Death, and Course of Duty Death as defined under Article 12:02 of the collective agreement.
3. Notwithstanding the group an Employee is working in under Article 11:01, the Recognition Pay will be the relevant percentage of the salary of a First Class Fire Fighter (pay group 5).
4. Recognition Pay will be based on the hourly salary of the Employee as specified in Article 11:03 (a) and (b) and not 11:03 (c) and will be paid bi-weekly with the Employee’s regular pay.
