Reimbursement for Graduate Study. The full cost of tuition and fees for courses approved in advance by the Superintendent and taken for professional growth of the Assistant Superintendent shall be borne by the Board. Such coursework must culminate in the acquisition of a graduate degree conferred by a duly accredited institution of higher education as defined in N.J.A.C. 6A:9-2.1. Six (6) credits is the maximum which may be reimbursed in one school year.
Reimbursement for Graduate Study. The College will reimburse faculty members up to a rate of $150/credit hour for successful completion of previously approved graduate education. Faculty members on sabbatical leave shall be eligible for a maximum reimbursement of $75/credit hour for courses taken while on sabbatical leave in accordance with existing Board and Administrative policies. A course shall be considered as "taken while on sabbatical leave" if the official semester of the College in which the full-time faculty member enrolls overlaps the official semester during which the faculty member is on sabbatical leave. The maximum number of credit hours for which a faculty member may receive reimbursement per fiscal year is fifteen (15). The maximum number of credit hours for which a faculty member may receive reimbursement while employed at the College is forty five (45). Faculty members will receive tuition reimbursement only after pre-approval of graduate course work by the designated Xxxx and receipt of the transcript or other documented evidence of faculty members’ successful completion of the graduate course work. The preferred deadline to submit requests for reimbursement is two weeks prior to the start of the course. If approved, the reimbursement must be paid (regardless of budget). The College will not reimburse for dissertation credit hours. Reimbursements are first-come first- served while funds are available. Under the Tuition Reimbursement Policy, in special circumstances, faculty will also be reimbursed for courses required for the completion of a Bachelor’s Degree. These situations will be considered highly unique and shall require the approval of the Associate Xxxx and Xxxx.

Reimbursement for Graduate Study. A. A fund not to exceed $50,000 shall be established for tuition reimbursement. Tenured staff members may be reimbursed for courses taken at colleges or universities. Reimbursement will be one-half (1/2) of the tuition cost, not to exceed seven hundred fifty dollars ($750) per fiscal year per person. Such reimbursement will be made in order of application until the allocated $50,000.00 is expended. Online courses shall be subject to reimbursement under this Article only to the extent that such courses may be used for salary credit in accordance with XXX Appendix A, Provisions Relating to Salaries.
B. In order to receive reimbursement for courses taken at or offered by colleges or universities, staff members must receive the prior approval of their professional development and evaluation program supervisor. In case a staff member and his or her professional development and evaluation program supervisor are unable to agree, a final decision concerning reimbursement, which shall be binding on all parties, shall be rendered by the credit review committee. If a staff member cannot reach an agreement concerning reimbursement with his or her supervisor within three (3) days after requesting approval, he or she may appeal to the credit review committee, which shall hear evidence from both the staff member and his or her supervisor within five (5) days of such appeal and shall decide the matter within two (2) days thereafter.

Administrators are eligible for reimbursement of 100% of the cost of accredited graduate courses based on the New Jersey State College tuition rates upon successful completion of courses related to their assignments. No more than six (6) credits per semester will be reimbursed when school is open and eighteen (18) credits is the maximum which may be reimbursed in one school year. In order to receive the reimbursement, an administrator must be in the employ of the Board at the time of payment of the reimbursement.

Reimbursement for Graduate Study. 1. The Board shall allocate $15,000 in each year of this Agreement for the purpose of reimbursing teachers for graduate study, subject to the following:
a. Reimbursement shall be available for courses successfully completed pursuant to a planned Sixth Year program or Master's degree, taken at an approved institution of higher education.
b. The program of study and institution must be approved in advance by the Superintendent, whose approval shall not be withheld for arbitrary or capricious reasons. Individual course changes within a previously approved program, made by or with the approval of the institution shall not result in denial of tuition reimbursement.
c. A teacher may be reimbursed for up to two courses per year, at the rate of $750 per course.
d. Successful completion of a course shall be defined in the same manner as defined by the institution where the course is taken.
2. To qualify for tuition reimbursement under this Article, the teacher must be certified and employed by the Board on a full-time basis.
3. A teacher who has received approval for reimbursement under this Article shall submit proof of successful completion of the course and documentation of his/her tuition payment to the Superintendent's office within thirty (30) days following completion of the course. Reimbursement shall be made to the teacher within thirty (30) days thereafter.
Reimbursement for Graduate Study. A. Only those staff members on the seventh year training level may be reimbursed for courses taken at colleges or universities (this is in lieu of the plan in effect for the rest of the staff). Reimbursement will be one-half (½) of the tuition cost, not to exceed five hundred dollars ($500.00) per fiscal year per person.
B. In order to receive reimbursement for courses taken at colleges or universities, staff members must receive the prior approval of their professional development and appraisals program supervisor. In case a staff member and his or her professional development and appraisals program supervisor are unable to agree, a final decision concerning reimbursement, which shall be binding on all parties, shall be rendered by the credit review committee. If a staff member cannot reach an agreement concerning reimbursement with his or her supervisor within three (3) days after requesting approval, he or she may appeal to the credit review committee, which shall hear evidence from both the staff member and his or her supervisor within five (5) days of such appeal and shall decide the matter within two (2) days thereafter.
Reimbursement for Graduate Study. The Board shall reimburse each professional employee for graduate study as follows:
A. $250.00 per graduate credit. Payment of tuition or registration fee from IU 08 inservice credits. Reimbursement for graduate study shall start with the 13th credit.
B. Credits must be completed between July 1 and June 30 for payment in current year.
C. The graduate credits must be in the major area of certification as defined and agreed upon between the employee and the superintendent. This definition includes those education graduate courses that are applicable to the major area of certification.
D. A limit of not more than 12 graduate credits paid each school year during the term of this contract.
E. Payment shall be made only upon presentation of an official transcript showing satisfactory completion of the courses along with a written request from the professional employee, and in the case of IU 08 inservice credits, a receipt of payment.
F. Payment for additional work will be made on the payroll for the 15th day of any month provided that the transcript and written request have been received by the administrative office prior to the 1st day of the same month.
G. Members of the unit who are on leave of absence shall not qualify for the payment for credits received during the time of their leave.
H. Members of the unit who are on sabbatical leave shall qualify for the payment of credits received during the time of their leave.

B. The Board shall provide reimbursement up to a maximum of $3500 for mentoring fees associated with the required State-approved residency program while under a provisional certification.
