Safety and Health Guidelines. (a) Without limitation to the other provisions of this agreement, the Contractor must comply with the Safety and Health Guidelines. (b) If there is any inconsistency between a provision of the Safety and Health Guidelines and any other provision of this agreement, the other provision of this agreement will prevail to the extent of the inconsistency.
Safety and Health Guidelines. The Employer shares an interest with bargaining unit employees in maintaining a safe work and school environment. In the furtherance of that interest: 10.2.4.1 Bargaining unit employees shall have access to the school building to 10.2.4.2 The Employer is required by law to develop policies on fire safety, school lockdowns, shelter-in-place, school evacuations and first aid. Bargaining unit employees shall be trained on said policies prior to the first day of student instruction each school year.

In furtherance of that interest: 8-6.1 AHS shall develop, distribute to bargaining unit employees, and consistently apply a school visitor policy that provides for who can access the school buildings at what times and for what reasons, and the procedures through which visitor access permission may be secured. 8-6.2 Bargaining unit employees shall have access to the school building to which they are assigned from one (1) hour before the beginning of their work day through two (2) hours after the end of their work day.

Teachers shall be trained on said policies prior to the conclusion of the first quarter each school year.

Employer shall distribute a copy of this policy to bargaining unit employees. 2. The Employer shall develop policies on fire safety, school lockdowns, school evacuations, and first aid. Bargaining unit employees shall be trained on said policies prior to the conclusion of the first quarter of each school year. 3. The Employer shall ensure that all classroom entry points are lockable, and that the teacher and other appropriate staff have a key. All classroom doors shall be lockable from the inside of the classroom. All classroom doors with windows shall be furnished with shades on the interior side of the window. School spaces such as the gym and auditorium which are sometimes used to conduct classes will be exempt from this requirement. Employer will also ensure that all classroom entry points meet the regulations of NOLA Public Schools and other governing authorities. In the event that such regulations conflict with this paragraph, the regulations shall be controlling. 4. The Employer shall disseminate a policy and provide training to newly hired bargaining unit employees concerning their professional and statutory duties as mandated reporters within their first month of employment. 5. Any appropriately trained bargaining unit employee may provide or administer medications to students. Under normal circumstances the administration of medication should be referred to the appropriate school personnel (e.g., the school nurse) as identified by the CEO/Principal. 6. The Employer shall ensure that all entry points of all its school buildings are secure. An employee who observes an insecure entry point will secure the entry point or notify the COO or in his or her absence, the facilities manager.

Urban Prep shall develop upon request and in consultation with the Union, and distribute to bargaining unit members, and consistently apply a school visitor policy that provides for who can access the school buildings at what times and for what reasons, and the procedures through which visitor access permission may be secured. 12.6.2. Bargaining unit members shall have access to the school building to which they are assigned from one (1) hour before the beginning of their work day through two (2) hours after the end of their work day. 12.6.3. Urban Prep shall develop policies on fire safety, school lockdowns, school evacuations and first aid. Bargaining unit members shall be trained on said policies prior to the conclusion of the first quarter each school year. 12.6.4. Urban Prep shall make every effort to ensure that all classroom entry points are lockable, and the teacher and other appropriate staff have a key. 12.6.5. Urban Prep shall disseminate a policy and provide training to newly hired bargaining unit members concerning their professional and statutory duties as mandated reporters within their first month of employment. Urban Prep shall make every effort to ensure that all classroom doors with windows shall be furnished with shades on the interior side of the window. 12.6.6. No legally unauthorized bargaining unit employee may provide or administer medications to students. The administration of medication should be referred to the appropriate school personnel (e.g., the school nurse) as identified by the Principal. (Council specific.) 12.6.7. Urban Prep shall ensure that all entry points of all its school buildings are secure.
Safety and Health Guidelines. In furtherance of the Parties' shared interest in maintaining a safe work and school environment: (a) In order to ensure that all entry points of its school building are secure, Namaste shall develop, distribute to Bargaining Unit Members, and consistently apply a school visitor policy that provides for who can access the school buildings at what times and for what reasons, and the procedures through which visitor access permission may be secured. (b) Bargaining Unit Members have access to the Namaste' s school building on work days as follows, from 7 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Monday through Thursday, and from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Fridays. (c) Namaste shall develop policies on fire safety, school lockdowns, school evacuations and first aid. Bargaining Unit Members shall be trained on said policies prior to the conclusion of the first quarter each school year. In the event that following Xxxxxxx's dissemination of policies and training, any Bargaining Unit Member does not understand or has questions regarding his or her duties and responsibilities set forth in this subsection, s/he shall promptly and affirmatively seek assistance from the Director of Operations in that regard. (d) Xxxxxxx shall ensure that by the beginning of the 2019-2020 school year, all classroom entry points are lockable from inside of the classroom, and the teacher and other appropriate staff have a key. (e) Xxxxxxx shall disseminate a policy and provide training to newly hired Bargaining Unit Members concerning their professional and statutory duties as mandated reporters within their first month of employment. (f) No legally unauthorized Bargaining Unit Member shall be expected to administer medications to students. The administration of medication should be referred to the appropriate school personnel, as identified by the Executive Director and any questions or concerns must be directed to the student's guardian.

  • SAFETY AND HEALTH 20.1 The Employer, employee and Union have a significant responsibility for workplace safety and health. A. The Employer will provide a work environment in accordance with safety and health standards established by the Washington Industrial Safety and Health Act (WISHA). B. Employees will comply with all safety and health practices and standards established by the Employer. C. The Union will work cooperatively with the Employer on safety and health related matters and encourage employees to work in a safe manner. 20.2 Employees will take an active role in creating a safe and healthy workplace by reporting immediate safety issues to their supervisor(s), following the chain of command, and other safety issues to their safety committee and/or safety officer for review and action, as necessary. Employees may additionally contact a Union xxxxxxx. The Employer will address reported unsafe working conditions and take appropriate action. All parties will comply with WAC 000-000-000 regarding unsafe work assignments and/or conditions that a reasonable person would conclude could create a real danger of death or serious injury. 20.3 The Employer will determine and provide the required safety devices, personal protective equipment and apparel, which employees will wear and/or use. The Employer will repair or replace employer provided safety items if out-of-date, or damaged/worn beyond usefulness in the normal course of business. The Employer will provide employees with orientation and/or training to perform their jobs safely. In addition, if necessary, training will be provided to employees on the safe operation of equipment prior to use. 20.4 The Employer will form a joint safety committee, in accordance with WISHA requirements, at each work location where there are eleven (11) or more employees. Meetings will be conducted in accordance with WAC 000-000-00000. The committee will be known as the Safety and Health Committee. The committee will consider workplace safety and health issues affecting employees. Employee participation in joint safety committee meetings held during the employee’s work time will be considered time worked. Employees may request work schedule adjustments to participate. No overtime or compensatory time will be paid as a result of participation in joint safety committee meetings held during the employee’s non-work hours. Any employee has the right to bring a workplace health and safety concern to the joint safety committee. Committee recommendations will be forwarded to the appropriate appointing authority for review and action, as necessary.

  • Occupational Safety and Health Acts Contractor(s) who perform any work under this contract shall fully comply with the provisions of the Federal Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 and any amendments thereto and regulations pursuant to the act. Any Contractor who fails to do so may be terminated for cause as set forth below.

  • OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH A. Consultant will perform the Services in compliance with the most current versions of all laws, standards, rules, and regulations of the Occupational Safety and Health Act, and all state and federal laws and regulations relating to safety and health standards. Consultant shall perform the Services in compliance with, will furnish only supplies, articles, and equipment that comply with such laws, standards, and regulations. B. Consultant shall immediately notify Valley Water in the event of any personal injury accident or occurrence occurring during the performance of the Services. Upon Valley Water’s request, Consultant shall provide Valley Water with documentation fully describing the accident and injury and the actions implemented to prevent similar occurrences.

  • Occupational Health and Safety Act The Employer, the Union, and the Employees recognize they are bound by the provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, S.N.S. 1996, c.7, and appropriate federal acts and regulations. Any breach of these obligations may be grieved pursuant to this Agreement.

  • COMPLIANCE WITH OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH By submission of a bid in response to this solicitation, the Bidder certifies that all material, equipment, etc., contained in their bid meets all OSHA requirements. Bidder further certifies that if they are the awarded Contractor, and the material, equipment, etc., delivered is subsequently found to be deficient in any OSHA requirements in effect on date of delivery, all costs necessary to bring the material, equipment, etc., into compliance with the aforementioned requirements shall be borne by the Contractor.

  • Federal Occupational Safety and Health Law Contractor represents and warrants that all articles and services shall meet or exceed the safety standards established and promulgated under the Federal Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970, as amended (29 U.S.C. Chapter 15).

  • Safety and Health Committee The District's Safety and Health Committee shall include three (3) classified staff members appointed by ECCE who shall fully participate in the duties and functions of the Committee. The Safety and Health Committee shall normally meet on a monthly basis.

In case of conflict, the most stringent safety requirement shall govern. The Contractor shall indemnify and hold the City harmless from and against all claims, demands, suits, actions, judgments, fines, penalties and liability of every kind arising from the breach of the Contractor’s obligations under this paragraph.

  • National Environmental Policy Act All subrecipients must comply with the requirements of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) 42 U.S.C. 4321 et seq., and the Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ) Regulations (40 C.F.R. Parts 1500-1508) for Implementing the Procedural Provisions of NEPA, which requires Subrecipients to use all practicable means within their authority, and consistent with other essential considerations of national policy, to create and maintain conditions under which people and nature can exist in productive harmony and fulfill the social, economic, and other needs of present and future generations of Americans.
