Sick Leave – Annual Allowance. Employees will be entitled to one (1) day of sick leave for each month of their assignment year calculated to the nearest half day. The total number of days will be made available beginning on the first (1st) day of the assignment year. Sick leave shall be accumulated from year-to-year unlimited. If an employee resigns before the end of the school year, sick leave days which have been used in excess of one (1) day per month of employment and are not covered by accumulated sick leave shall be regarded as lost time with an appropriate deduction made from the final salary check. At the conclusion of every twelve (12)-month period between July 1 and June 30, an employee who has attained perfect attendance (i.e., no use of sick leave, personal leave, leave without pay, or administrative leave resulting from a disciplinary action) may convert up to four (4) days of accumulated sick leave to pay at the current per diem rate. At the conclusion of every twelve (12)-month period between July 1 and June 30, an employee who has used personal leave only (no use of sick leave, leave without pay, or administrative leave resulting from a disciplinary action) may convert up to three (3) days of accumulated sick leave to pay. Personal days used will reduce the days available to convert on a one-to-one basis. The conversion of sick leave payment shall be made by separate check and/or direct deposit, payable on the first pay of November of the following fiscal year.   • Sick Leave Annual Cash Out ‌ Each January, employees are eligible to receive cash on a one (1) hour for four (4) hours basis for ninety-six (96) hours or less of their accrued sick leave, if:

  • Sick Leave Allowance Faculty with a full-time assignment shall accrue sick leave at the rate of eight

  • Vacation Year The vacation year shall be April 1 to March 31, inclusive.

  • Annual Allowance The Corporation shall pay to the Executive, in cash, in a lump sum, on the Payment Date an amount equal to two times the annual allowance to which the Executive is entitled as of the date of the Date of Termination (or, if higher, as of immediately prior to the Effective Date).

  • Sick Leave Payment Any employee, at his/her option may choose to receive payment for sick leave earned during the year which is unused at the end of the year. Any such payment must be for the total number of unused sick leave hours earned during the year, must be based on the hourly rate of pay of the employee multiplied by 50 percent, and all hours for which payment is received must be deducted from the employee’s accumulated leave balance. Sick leave used during a current year will be charged against the most recently earned sick leave. Hourly rate of pay is the hourly rate at the end of the contract year.

  • Vacation Allowance Employees in permanent positions are entitled to vacation with pay. Accrual is based upon straight time hours of working time per calendar month of service and begins on the date of appointment to a permanent position. Increased accruals begin on the first of the month following the month in which the employee qualifies. Accrual for portions of a month shall be in minimum amounts of one (1) hour calculated on the same basis as for partial month compensation pursuant to Section 5.6 of this MOU. Vacation credits may be taken in one (1) minute increments but may not be taken during the first six (6) months of employment (not necessarily synonymous with probationary status) except where sick leave has been exhausted; and none shall be allowed in excess of actual accrual at the time vacation is taken.

  • Sick Leave Benefit There are two types of sick leave benefits. Annual sick leave is the sick leave days credited each year to each employee in accordance with the provisions of the local collective bargaining agreements. Banked sick leave is previously accumulated unused sick leave to which unused annual sick leave may be added at the end of each anniversary year.

  • Sick Leave Bonus For every six (6) months of perfect sick leave attendance after July 1, 1987, the employee will receive eight (8) hours of bonus time. This bonus time will be prorated for part-time employees. Such bonus time can be used for any leave purpose covered by this Agreement. Such bonus time shall be counted as vacation leave credits for purposes of determining eligibility for carry- over and cash payments.

  • Sick Leave Pay A Nurse granted sick leave shall be paid for the period of such leave at her or his regular hourly rate of pay and the number of hours thus paid shall be deducted from the accumulated sick leave credits of the Nurse.

  • Sick Leave Payout No cash payment for unused sick leave will be paid to any employee leaving the service of the Employer.
