SICK PAY FUND. (1) The Knitting Industry Sick Pay Fund (Northern Areas), (hereinafter referred to as the "Fund"), originally established on 4 June 1971 in terms of Government Notice No. R. 911, is hereby continued.
(2) (a) Every employer shall on the pay day of each week and from the first pay day after this part of the Agreement comes into operation, deduct R3,07 from the wages of each of his employees for whom minimum wages as prescribed in this part of the Agreement and who have worked for at least 20 hours in the week for which the deductions fall due.
SICK PAY FUND. Employers shall pay 1% of employees’ wages to the sickness fund of the Trade Union concerned, unless higher payments have been negotiated in wages and terms agreements. - See Act No. 19/1979 on Workers’ Right to Advance Notice of Termination of Employment and to Wages on Account of Absence through Illness and Accidents. SICK PAY FUND. (1) The Sick Pay Fund for the Building Industry ("xxx Xxxx") is hereby continued and shall continue to be administered by the Council for the purposes of recompensing employees during periods of absence from work due to incapacity, and paying gratuities to employees in the event of permanent disability, in accordance with the rules of the Fund.
(2) The fund shall be administered by the Council in accordance with the rules which it may make from time to time for this purpose ("the Rules"), and all moneys of the Fund shall be administered, invested and paid out in accordance with the Rules. Copies of the Rules shall be available for inspection at the offices of the Council.

SICK PAY FUND. 36.1 The Fund known as the ―Hairdressing Trade Sick Pay Fund‖ hereinafter referred to as the ―Fund‖ is hereby continued.
36.2 The object of the Fund is the provision of sick pay benefits to employees and working employers hereinafter referred to as ―members of the Fund‖ to whom this clause applies during periods of absence from work through sickness.
(a) Every employee must contribute per month the employee contribution specified in the Sick Pay Fund Contribution Schedule;
(b) Every employer must deduct per month from the wages of each employee the amount referred to in sub clause 36.3(a) and contribute per month the employer contribution specified in the Sick Pay Fund Contribution Schedule;
(c) Every working employer who is a member of the Fund must pay per month, according to wage band, both the specified employee and employer contribution;
(d) Every employer must pay the amounts referred to in sub clauses 36.3(a), 36.3(b) and 36.3(c) to the Council before the seventh day of the next month. 4) For the period 01 November 2023 to 31 October 2024 the contributions applicable from 01 November 2023 shall be increased by the CPI percentage + 1% (as at the 1st of July 2023 as published by the Statistics South Africa) provided that the minimum increase shall be 5% and the maximum increase be no higher than 7%.
5) For the period 01 November 2024 to 31 October 2025 the contributions applicable from 01 November 2024 shall be increased by the CPI percentage + 1% (as at the 1st of July 2024 as published by the Statistics South Africa) provided that the minimum increase shall be 5% and the maximum increase be no higher than 7%.
6) An employee shall receive payment in the amount set out in the table below in respect of each working day, including public holidays, that he is absent owing to illness or injury in a cycle of 365 calendar days: Normal working days absent Percentage of minimum wage prescribed in Clause 18 1st to 10th day 80% 11th to 20th day 33%
7) An employee with more than 10 years employment in the industry receives 15 (fifteen) days sick leave at 80% and 5 (five) days at 33%.
