Sick Plan. (a) After six (6) completed calendar months' service, Regular Full-Time Employees and Temporary Full-Time Employees shall be granted sick leave with pay on the basis of one and two-thirds (1 2/3) days per month, cumulative to a maximum of two hundred and sixty-one (261) days, retroactive to the first completed calendar month of employment. NOTE: The maximum cap of two hundred sixty-one (261) days will be removed for those regular full-time employees who have reached the cap of two hundred sixty-one (261) days AND who have achieved twenty (20) calendar years of service. (b) In the same case of sick leave, an employee will be allowed sick leave with pay for a period of three (3) days without producing a Medical Certificate. However, in the event that the General Manager or delegate is not satisfied that such absence is caused by illness, such General Manager or delegate may, at their discretion, require a Medical Certificate. (c) An employee who has received sick leave benefits for injuries caused by a third party shall be obliged in the event such employee undertakes an action for recovery of damages against the third party to seek recovery of the total cost of wages and benefits paid to the employee while on sick leave. The employee shall be obliged to reimburse the Employer to the extent the employee succeeded in recovering such wages and benefits including interest on wages lost. This provision includes claims made to ICBC.

Sick Plan a) Xxxxxxxxx Xxxxxxx Hospital Plan i) The salary paid to the employee who qualifies under the Long Term Disability Plan will be 66 2/3 % of his wages. ii) The Employer agrees to pay 75% of the premium of such plan, provided the balance of the premium is paid by the employee through payroll deductions.

Sick Plan. The dent of and Treasurer of Board shall have power to do and perform all things necessary for the conduct of the sick leave plan, including the power to allow or disallow any sick leave credit or deductions therefrom under the system, and including the requirement to have an employee submit to a medical examination by a Doctor designated by the Board. The Superintendent of and Treasurer keep, or cause to be kept, a record in which shall be entered the credits and deductions therefrom. employees covered by this Collective Agreement eligible for the benefits under this plan for the period of continuousservice subsequent to appointment. Any employee whose period of service has been broken by resignation and who subsequently is re- employed shall benefit only from the date of re-employment on the regular staff. As of September each eligible full-time employee shall entitled to eighteen (18) days for a year of employment (September to 30) with the Board. Employees hired after 1st or leaving the employ of the Board before June shall be credited with a proportion thereof. (d) Medical appointments may utilize accrued sick leave to ensure no loss of earnings for attendance at same, but wherever possible, the timing of such appointments are to be scheduled for an employee’s compressed day or at times outside of normal working hours. If such scheduling is not possible, medical appointments are to be scheduled for the end or beginning of the work day, where possible, to minimize loss of working hours. Should an employee be required to attend a medial appointment during the course of the normal work day, employees must ensure their supervisor is aware of the time needed for travel to and from such appointment. As it is not appropriate in most cases for employees to schedule a medical appointment and then take the remainder of the day as sick leave, supervisors are to be made aware of the anticipated return to work time of such requests to better enable workforce scheduling and appropriate time- keeping.
Sick Plan. Each full time Employee shall be entitled to fifty-six (56) hours (effective January 1, 2010, increase to sixty (60) hours) sick pay per contract year. (Jan 1 to Dec 31). Unused sick leave shall be cashed out at the rate of one hundred percent (100%) annually. This is a pro-rated benefit.
