Sick Pay Plan. The Sick Pay Plan set out in this Article 14B applies only to employees hired prior to July 31, 2009, who do not elect to transfer to IIP.
Sick Pay Plan. Employees will be enrolled in the Sick Pay Plan as a condition of employment effective the first of the month coincident with or next following the completion of ninety (90) days seniority. Employees will not be eligible for benefits under the Company Sick Pay Plan for any period for which they are entitled to receive Employment Insurance Sickness Benefits. The Company will improve the benefit to sixty-five (65%) percent with premium costs paid by employees effective April 1st, 2008. Under the Sick Pay Plan the three (3) day waiting period will be applied as a waiting period of twenty-four (24) scheduled hours. Sick Pay will be paid on the basis of (the weekly amount of Sick Pay for which the employee is eligible, divided by forty-two (42)) times (the number of hours for which the employee is eligible to be paid Sick Pay, to a maximum of eighty-four (84) hours in a two (2) week cycle).
Sick Pay Plan. 17.01 The Company will, in the event of an employee’s ab- sence due to a bona fide illness or accident of six (6) days or less, provide a total of three (3) full or partial days of sick pay per year to be paid up to the employ- ee’s regular scheduled daily hours. 17.02 When an illness and/or non-occupational accident results in an absence from work in excess of six (6) working days, and upon provision of appropriate medical documentation, a seniority Employee may receive, commencing on the seventh (7th) day, an additional seventeen (17) weeks of pay at 66 2/3% of their regular earnings. Medical updates may be re- quired periodically throughout the disability period to ensure continued coverage.
Sick Pay Plan. The Employer agrees to establish a Sick Pay Plan along the following lines: Employees who have completed their probationary period shall commence to accrue sick pay based on one-half (2) day regular rate of pay per month to a maximum of six (6) days per year. Any unused sick days over three (3) remaining will be paid out to the employee no later than the third pay day in each December and the balance will continue to accumulate. If an employee is terminated for any reason or resigns he shall receive all accrued sick pay to date of termination.
Sick Pay Plan. The Employer agrees that the Sick Pay Plan (hereinafter referred to simply as “the Plan”) for the benefit of the employees shall continue to be in effect during the term of this Agreement, subject, however, the following conditions and limitations: 1. This Plan does not cover time lost from work on account of compensable accidents, injuries or disease; 3. This Plan is limited in coverage to seven (7) working days (or 56 hours) in any one contract year and there shall be no carry over of unused benefits under this Plan from one contract year to the next; provided, however, that any regular full-time employee with more than ten (10) years of continuous employment with the Company may carry over not more than five (5) days of unused sick leave in any year for a total aggregate number of sick leave days (including the seven (7) days for the then current year) of not to exceed a number of days equal to the employee’s total number of years of continuous service (e.g., a regular full-time employee with twenty-five (25) days aggregate sick leave in the employee’s twenty-fifth (25) year of service); 4. In order to be eligible for payments under this Plan an employee must submit such proof of illness (including submission to an examination by the Employer’s doctor) as the Employer may require. However, an employee may use up to three (3) of the employee’s sick leave days in any contract year without having to submit an approved doctor's note. Normal sick leave call in procedures shall apply. Days must be taken on a full-day basis. These sick days not requiring a doctor’s note cannot be used on the employee’s regularly scheduled working day immediately before or after contractual holidays or scheduled vacation days. 5. Notwithstanding the foregoing provision of this Article, benefits under the Sick Pay Plan will be paid from the first day of an employee’s hospitalization for each day the employee is in the hospital which would otherwise be a regularly scheduled work day for the employee, up to the total of the aggregate number of sick leave days then to the employee’s credit, it being understood and agreed, however, that with respect to any such days of hospitalization for which benefits are paid under the Employer’s Sickness and Accident Insurance Plan payment under the Sick Pay Plan will be the difference between what the emplo...
Sick Pay Plan. Subject to the terms and conditions of the plan, sick pay will be provided as follows: - A benefit of 66 2/3% of monthly income to a maximum of $650.00 per week. - Payment will be made commencing on the forth (4th) day of absence in case of illness and on the first (1st) day of absence in the case of an accident which is not covered by Workers Compensation or in respect of an employee who is hospitalized during the three (3) day waiting period. - Benefits are payable for a maximum of seventeen (17) weeks. - Full-time employees shall accumulate sick days at the rate of one (1) day (8 hours) for every calendar month worked to a maximum of six (6) days (48 hours) per calendar year. A further six (6) days (48 hours) may be earned at the same rate of one (1) day (8 hours) per calendar month commencing each January 1. The maximum accumulation of such days shall be twelve (12) days. Such leave cannot be used prospectively, it is earned. The Company shall apply any accumulated sick leave to absences due to the employee's sickness not covered by insured weekly indemnity benefits (or similar benefits) and may supplement weekly indemnity benefits (or similar benefits) with unused sick leave credits in an amount equal to but not to exceed the employee's normal earnings.
