Student Contact Time. Shall be defined as a time for instruction or when student supervision is required. This also includes transition time between classes/periods.
Student Contact Time. Time during which a teacher has direct responsibility for students; may include both instructional and non-instructional time.
Student Contact Time. A. The amount of teacher-student contact time (teaching time) shall not exceed 320 minutes per day in an elementary school. The above mentioned contact time may be exceeded only to accommodate teacher-student contact time decreased due to staff development days and only under the following conditions:
1. Student contact time may not exceed 325 minutes per day.
2. Student contact time may only be increased to offset a maximum of three hours per staff development day.
3. Student contact time will average no more than 320 minutes per day during the semester/trimester.
4. MBUs at the site will be consulted regarding scheduling.
B. For teachers assigned to more than one (1) site, the amount of student-teacher contact time shall not exceed 300 minutes per day.
Student Contact Time. The maximum assignment of pupil contact for any teacher shall be three (3) hours in a four (4) hour day, six (6) hours in an eight (8) hour day, six and three quarters (6 ¾) hours in a nine (9) hour day, or seven and one half (7 1/2) hours in a ten (10) hour day. The remainder of the work day shall be spent in performance of assigned responsibilities, including but not limited to, such activities as conferences, class preparations, and curriculum development.
Student Contact Time. No staff member shall have more than five and one-half (5.5) hours of contact time during any one (1) workday.
Student Contact Time. Student contact time in all elementary buildings shall be of equal length.
Student Contact Time. Classroom teachers will be assigned no more than five (5) hours and fifty (50) minutes of student contact time per day. For those classroom teachers with more than five (5) hours and thirty (30) minutes of assigned student contact time per day, Administration will make reasonable effort to schedule up to thirty (30) minutes of additional release time from the classroom on a regular basis for conferring with parents, Administration, and other District personnel, as well as for preparation and planning.
Student Contact Time. Student contact time shall be no greater than that which existed at the start of the 2006-07 school years.
Student Contact Time. A teacher’s student contact time (teaching and supervisory) shall not exceed on a daily basis five (5) hours, fifty (50) minutes at the secondary level nor six (6) hours, twenty-five (25) minutes at the elementary level.
Student Contact Time. The length of this professional time assigned by the Principal to working directly with students shall not exceed five and a half (5.5) hours on average, except when additional recess supervision is necessary due to indoor recess. This time shall not exceed 5.75 hours on any given day with the exception of Pre-School and those working a flexible schedule. This does not preclude a teacher from voluntarily spending more time with students. The student contact time shall be prorated for part-time teachers based on their FTE.
