Student Rights. The Protection of Pupil Rights Amendment (PPRA) affords parents certain rights regarding the use of surveys or other school activities which may involve the collection or use of protected information. They include the right to: ● Consent before students are required to submit to a survey that concerns one or more of the following protected areas: ● Political affiliations or beliefs of the student or student’s parent; ● Mental or psychological problems of the student or student’s family; ● Sexual behavior or attitudes; ● Illegal, antisocial, self-incriminating, or demeaning behavior; ● Critical appraisals of others with whom respondents of chosen family relationships; ● Legally recognized privileged relationships, such as with lawyers, doctors, or ministers; ● Religious practices, affiliations, or beliefs of the student or parent(s); or ● Income, other than as required by law to determine program eligibility. ● Receive notice and an opportunity to opt a student out of activities involving collection, disclosure, or use of personal information obtained from students regarding any of the protected information areas. ● Inspect, upon request and before administration or use of: ● Protected information surveys designed to be administered to students; and ● Instructional material used as part of the educational curriculum. DaVinci Academy of Science and the Arts policies protect student privacy as required by both State and Federal law. DaVinci Academy of Science and the Arts will directly notify you of the specific or approximate dates of activities which involve the collection or use of protected information, and provide an opportunity for parents to opt-in their student to participate in such activities. Parents who believe their rights have been violated may contact the Executive Director at DaVinci Academy of Science and the Arts and/or file a complaint. Civil Rights Complaint Procedure- Complaints of discrimination should be filed with the Director of Academic Services according to the provisions of the DaVinci Academy of Science and the Arts Charter Civil Rights Grievance Procedure, copies of which are available at the school’s business office. Student Rights. I. Once Student is registered into JISMO Intensive Program, Student has right to receive standard educational services from JISMO which are stated in the flyer, rules, and any documents issued by JISMO. II. In case Student does not receive proper service from JISMO, JISMO shall discuss with Student’s caregiver to find a solution.
Student Rights. The District is committed to safeguarding the rights given to all students under state and federal law. In addition, to promote a safe, healthy, orderly and civil school environment, free from bullying or harassment by school employees or students, all District students have the right to: 1. Take part in all District activities on an equal basis regardless of actual or perceived race, color, weight, national origin, ethnic group, religion, religious practice, disability, sexual orientation, gender, or sex. 2. Present their version of the relevant events to school personnel authorized to impose a disciplinary penalty in connection with the imposition of the penalty. 3. Access school rules and, when necessary, receive an explanation of those rules from school personnel.

The education of all children shall be based on the precept that high-quality education is dependent upon providing for a stimulation of the spirit of inquiry, the acquisition of knowledge and understanding, and the thoughtful formulation of worthy goals. To accomplish this, the Board and the Association agree that the students of the district can expect: 1. A free and undistorted view of subject matter with varying points of view. 2. The inclusion of all students regardless of race, color, creed or national origin in the opportunity to participate or benefit under any program not the granting of any discriminatory consideration or advantage. 3. That all confidential information obtained in the course of professional service not be disclosed unless disclosure serves professional purposes or is required by law. B. No student shall be permanently excluded from attending school in the district for disciplinary reasons without advising the parents or guardians of the child for the reasons therefore and according a fair hearing if requested. At such hearing, the student may be represented by an attorney and may present evidence and examine or cross-examine witnesses. Before any permanent expulsion of a student, the approval of the superintendent shall be obtained.

A free and undistorted view of subject matter with varying points of view; 2. Equal educational opportunity regardless of race, color, creed, gender, handicap, or national origin; and 3. Student Rights. 4.1 During the student exchange experience, students will remain students of the University. They shall not enjoy the academic rights and privileges of the Partner Organisation but will be subject to the Rules, Regulations and rules of conduct prevailing in the Partner Organisation. The Partner Organisation will nevertheless endeavour to provide access to facilities for example teaching materials (on a reference basis) or wifi codes as appropriate. Entitlements of access to facilities and resources will be agreed in advance of the activity. (See Student Exchange Annex)

Student Rights. Exchange Students have the same rights, privileges, and responsibilities as regular, degree-seeking students at the Host institution. Exchange Students will comply with the rules and regulations of the Host Institution. Exchange Students who are not in compliance may have their participation terminated by the Home or Host Institution.
