Telecommuting. The Engineers and Architects Association and Management acknowledge the City of Los Angeles Telecommuting Program (C.F. #93-225), and that employees of this Unit may be considered for eligibility by management of their respective departments/bureaus in accordance with the Telecommuting Action Plan. Both parties agree to comply with this Plan, the provisions of which shall be superseded by any modifications adopted by the Joint Labor/Management Committee on Employee Parking and Transportation Options, or other body so authorized to make such modifications.
Telecommuting. Subrecipient must submit written request with justification and must obtain written approval from the County prior to authorizing staff to telecommute under this Contract. Subrecipient must have an active and County approved Telecommute Policy and Telecommute Employee Agreement template. Subrecipient will be responsible to ensure staff possess the proper tools and/or available resources provided by the Subrecipient to support the continuation of services. In addition, Subrecipient will be responsible to ensure the services provides are within the provisions and guidelines of this contract and WIOA regulations.
Telecommuting. 40.1. For Executive Branch employees, the County will administer employee requests for alternative work schedules and telecommuting in accordance with its policies, as amended. Requests for alternative work schedules and/or modified telecommuting arrangements by employees will not be unreasonably denied. If any request is denied it will be denied in writing
40.2. The parties commit to negotiating in good faith over any and all changes to the Telecommuting Policy that involve mandatory subjects of bargaining moving forward during the life of this Agreement.
Telecommuting. If an employee is called to work and such work is conducted from the employee’s home or alternate work site, the employee shall be paid only for the time actually engaged in the Agency’s business. If such work results in an overtime situation as described by the employee’s telecommuting agreement, the overtime shall be paid at the applicable overtime rate.
Telecommuting. Telecommuting. A. Where operational considerations permit and pursuant to a plan adopted by a department, a Bargaining Unit 7 employee may be permitted to telecommute when such work arrangements do not hinder, disrupt, nor interfere with the normal operation of the employer. Telecommuting work options shall conform to the definition, guidelines, and policies developed by the State's Telecommuting Advisory Group. Telecommuting which does not adhere to the guidelines and policies of the State’s Telecommuting Advisory Group shall not be allowed.
B. The State may establish, pursuant to an operational need or a request by either CSLEA or a Bargaining Unit 7 employee, telecommute agreements and will comply with reasonable procedures established by his/her department.
C. Once established, a telecommuting agreement/arrangement, absent an emergency, shall not be changed without thirty (30) calendar days notice. If requested, CSLEA shall be provided an opportunity to meet and confer over the impact of the proposed change.
D. Employees who have a telecommuting agreement/arrangement with the State shall not have their agreement/arrangement arbitrarily or capriciously revoked or amended. For the purposes of the section, a legitimate operational need is not considered arbitrary or capricious.
Telecommuting. Employee shall be entitled to telecommute for a portion of the work week consistent with past practices or otherwise as agreed by Employee and the Chief Executive Officer.
Telecommuting. Representatives of the City Attorney’s Office management team will meet with representatives of the Association for the purposes of discussing telecommuting and alternative work schedules for employees represented by the Association in the City Attorney’s Office, in a Labor Management Committee (LMC). LMCs are not authorized to meet and confer, to create contractual obligations, to modify the Memorandum of Agreement, or to authorize any practice in conflict with existing contracts, rules, City policies, or the City Attorney’s discretion.
Telecommuting. The City shall include the following provisions in its telecommuting policy:
A. The City will reimburse employees for required phone costs/lines. Supplies required to complete assigned work at the alternate location which are normally available at the employee’s regular office will be made available during in-office visits.
B. The employee’s home telephone number will remain private; however, the supervisor may have the number in order to make contact with the employee, if necessary.
C. Participation will not be limited to employees who use computers, but may be extended to other employees whose physical presence at a City office or facility is not necessary to successful performance of the assigned functions.
D. An employee working an alternate work schedule may be eligible to telecommute subject to the discretion of the Appointing Authority; conversely, employees who telecommute may be eligible for alternate work schedules at the discretion of the Appointing Authority.
Telecommuting. City employees may be eligible to participate in Telecommuting as part of their work schedule upon meeting the requirements of the City's Telecommuting Policy as set forth in the Administrative Policy Manual and approved by Management.
