Temporary Job Transfer. If an employee works one (1) hour or more at any time during his basic workday in a job classification paying a higher rate of pay than his regular job classification, such employee shall be paid the higher rate of pay for the entire workday. If an employee is assigned to work in a job classification paying a lower rate of pay, he/she shall not have his/her pay rate reduced for such work unless the job change is on a permanent basis and the employee is so notified.

Temporary Job Transfer. (a) An employee who is temporarily transferred into a higher job category that is in the bargaining unit, for a full shift, will be paid the rate of pay in the higher job category that is the next higher rate than their existing rate in their own job category, from the commencement of the shift. Temporary Transfers will not last more than sixty (60) worked days. The employer will state the reason for the job transfer, and the approximate start and end dates, if known, within (5) days of the transfer. Employee(s) cannot be transferred more than two transfers per twenty working days. Temporary transfers longer than five days must be in writing. Extensions to sixty (60) days will not be unreasonably withheld by the Union. Training will not be considered or counted as a temporary job transfer. (b) If the temporary transfer is to a lower rated job and is at the request of the Employer, the employee will receive his own hourly rate. (c) If the temporary transfer is to a lower rated job and is at the request of the employee, or to accommodate the employee, then the employee will be paid at the lower hourly rate of pay in the job category which corresponds with his Company Seniority. (d) The Company agrees to give the Union a copy of all job transfers along with an explanation for such transfers.
Temporary Job Transfer. A. After applying the provisions of Application of Seniority, when it becomes necessary to transfer an employee from one job to another at the start of a shift, the low seniority qualified employee working on available work will be transferred. If there are no qualified employees working available work, other qualified employees will be offered the transfer starting with the high seniority employee regardless of job or classification. B. After the start of the shift, when it becomes necessary to transfer an employee from one job to another, employees working on jobs not listed in Appendix A and who have the needed qualifications will be transferred first. If there are no qualified employees working available work, other qualified employees, regardless of job or classification and starting with the lowest seniority employee, will take the transfer.
Temporary Job Transfer. 16.01 Should any Employee be temporarily transferred or assigned for any reason to a higher rated position, he shall receive the rate for the position to which transferred or assigned for all hours worked. 16.02 Should any Employee be temporarily transferred or assigned for any reason to a lower rated position, he shall receive his regular rate of pay while assigned or transferred to such lower rated position for the duration of the assignment or transfer or for 120 calendar days, whichever comes first.

  • Temporary Transfer When an employee is assigned temporarily to perform the duties and assume the responsibilities of a higher paying position in the bargaining unit, for a period in excess of one-half of a shift, he shall be paid the rate immediately above his current rate in the higher classification to which he was assigned from the commencement of the shift on which he was assigned the job.
