Training Academy. The training program for recruits will include: 1. Incorporating principles of motivational interviewing into existing interpersonal communication training; 2. Incorporating principles of de-escalation into existing three-day training relating to mental health issues; and 3. Incorporating principles of de-escalation into existing use of force training.

Training Academy. Officers assigned to the Training Academy shall be issued (in order of seniority) full-use unmarked vehicles. All benefits, rules, and regulations which apply to PPV’s/SOFVs shall apply to these vehicles.
Training Academy. 8.3.1 Bookings, registration and payment must be confirmed by the Seller before the Purchaser makes travel arrangements for students. 8.3.2 It is the responsibility of the Purchaser/Student to arrange flights and visas at their own cost and to confirm their arrival time with the guest house, whose details will be provided on registration. 8.3.3 All Students are required to have their own travel insurance, including medical cover prior to their arrival for at the Training Academy. 8.3.4 The Seller will provide transport to and from the Academy and students are responsible for all other transport within South Africa. 8.3.5 The Seller is not liable for any injury, loss or damage suffered by the Student during their stay in South Africa. 8.3.6 Any costs incurred by the Student, other than those specified in this Agreement, are for the Purchaser/Student’s account and must be settled in full as and when the cost is incurred.
Training Academy. Pursuant to statute, employees are required to graduate from a certified Training Academy in order to obtain permanent employment.
Training Academy. The Parties agree to work together to jointly establish and operate a basic patrol training academy for Trainees, canine patrol academy for officers, and other academies deemed expedient by the Working Group ("Academy"). Training Academy. Newly hired officers attending a police training academy shall be compensated at the appropriate straight time rate of pay for eight (8) hours for each day spent in training, and shall be compensated for time and mileage spent for one (1) round trip from either the police department to the academy or their home to the academy, whichever is less and shall be compensated for mileage spent for an additional one (1) round trip from either the police department to the academy or their home to the academy, whichever is less. In addition, while an Officer is attending the academy, the Officer's payroll checks (with written authorization) can be mailed to the location specified by the Officer. Covered officers voluntarily leaving the employment of the Village for the purpose of police employment elsewhere shall reimburse the Village for expenses actually incurred for state-required basic training only, as set forth below: Departure prior to completion of one (1) year of service - 100% reimbursement, with maximum reimbursement of $3,000.00. Departure prior to completion of two (2) years of service - 50% reimbursement, with maximum reimbursement of $1,500.00. Covered employees shall not be liable for costs of field training or wages earned. The reimbursement provisions of this Section shall not apply to covered employees employed prior to the date of execution of this Agreement. Employees will be notified of this requirement prior to the extension of an offer of employment with the Algonquin Police Department.
Training Academy. Each new Employee shall be required to complete the Northampton County Department of Corrections Training Academy according to the standards established by the Administration. Those Employees who fail to meet the minimum standards shall be discharged from service.

  • Training Programs All employees shall successfully complete all necessary training prior to being assigned work (e.g., all employees will complete health and safety training prior to being assigned to task). Nothing in this Article or provision shall constitute a waiver of either party’s bargaining obligations or defenses. The Employer still has an obligation to notify and bargain changes in terms and conditions of employment with the exclusive representative.

  • Training and Orientation (a) No employee shall be required to work on any job or operate any piece of equipment until he/she has received proper training and instruction. (b) The Employer shall provide sufficient and adequate training and/or orientation to any employee working in a new or unfamiliar work area or position.

  • Training Program It is agreed that there shall be an Apprenticeship Training Program, the provisions of which are set forth in Exhibit "D", which is attached hereto and forms part of this Agreement.

  • Industrial Relations Training Leave Union Delegate/Employee Representative shall have access to industrial relations training in accordance with Appendix E hereof.

  • Training Services Training Services may include pre-packaged training Products, and/or the development or customization of training programs as requested, including Live Training, Computer Based/Multi-Media Training which encompasses Internet-Delivered Training, and/or Video Based Training.

  • Training and Promotion a. The contractor will assist in locating, qualifying, and increasing the skills of minorities and women who are applicants for employment or current employees. Such efforts should be aimed at developing full journey level status employees in the type of trade or job classification involved. b. Consistent with the contractor's work force requirements and as permissible under Federal and State regulations, the contractor shall make full use of training programs, i.e., apprenticeship, and on-the-job training programs for the geographical area of contract performance. In the event a special provision for training is provided under this contract, this subparagraph will be superseded as indicated in the special provision. The contracting agency may reserve training positions for persons who receive welfare assistance in accordance with 23 U.S.C. 140(a). c. The contractor will advise employees and applicants for employment of available training programs and entrance requirements for each. d. The contractor will periodically review the training and promotion potential of employees who are minorities and women and will encourage eligible employees to apply for such training and promotion.

  • Training Courses The Employer shall bulletin any training courses and experimental programs for which employees may be selected. The bulletin shall contain the following information: (a) type of course (subjects and material to be covered), (b) time, duration and location of the course, (c) basic minimum qualifications required for applicants. This bulletin shall be posted for a period of two (2) weeks on bulletin boards in all Departments to afford all interested employees an opportunity to apply for such training. The senior qualified applicant shall be selected.

  • Training Plan 19.6.1 An apprentice shall be a party to an individual Training Plan. 19.6.2 The Training Plan sets out the training that the apprentice will do both on – the – job and off – the – job. The Training Plan also sets out how the Registered Training Organisation (RTO) will ensure the apprentice will receive quality training – both on – the – job and off – the – job. 19.6.3 The Training Plan reflects the choices made by the employer and the apprentice in relation to:-
