Unexcused Tardies. After receiving a 2nd unexcused tardy in a class, students will be given consequences ranging from closed lunch to short-term suspension from school. After each unexcused tardy, students are to sign the white slip and take home for parent signature. All slips must be returned to school within 2 days. Being prepared leads to successful experiences with the school learning environment. Skills and habits you develop at this time will help you to be prepared for future success in high school and the world of work. Students are required to come to class each day with the necessary supplies to be ready to learn. Supply lists can be found on the STMS website. Elective and PE classes have additional materials/fees that can be paid to the school bookkeeper. Homework assignments are extremely important, and are essential practice for developing understanding and ability. On average, students should expect about 10 min per grade level each day, though it will fluctuate throughout the year. Homework and assignments are expected to be completed to the best of each student’s ability and on time. Successful students have regular routines of practice and preparation every day and are good habits to develop for future independence. Students who struggle with work completion will be directed to additional time and support to ensure that the proper practice is completed. In the event of excused absences, the student will have one day for each day missed to complete and submit the work. To assist students with gathering homework practice after an absence, each teacher will maintain a SWIFT website that can be accessed through the building’s webpage. Some SWIFT sites will list the homework that was given each day in class. There are two ways to get accompanying handouts or worksheets, by electronic form on the teacher’s website or as a hardcopy in the classroom. If the student does not have access to a computer, please call (000)000-0000 to request homework for two or more days of absences.   • Critical Illness Three (3) days per year, with pay, shall be granted in the case of a critical illness or accident to a member of the employee's immediate family as defined in Section 9.4.2. A statement by the physician verifying the need for the employee to be present with the immediate family member shall be attached to the absence form.

  • Critical Illness Leave (i) An Employee who has completed at least ninety (90) days of employment, and is a family member of a critically ill child or a critically ill qualified adult relative, is entitled to leave of absence without pay or benefits: • for a period of up to thirty-six (36) weeks to care for their critically ill child; or, • for a period of up to sixteen (16) weeks to care for a critically ill qualified adult relative.

  • Epidemic Failure “Epidemic Failure” for any particular Product shall mean a failure resulting from defects in material, workmanship, and manufacturing process, including but not limited to the use of Components with known defects. The Epidemic Failure clause shall be invoked [***]. The failure rate may be calculated [***], as determined by BUYER. Epidemic failures do not supersede the requirements of any expressed or implied warranty defined herein. In the case of an epidemic failure, SUPPLIER’s obligation is to propose an action plan to fix the failure of any affected Product within seventy-two (72) hours of discovery. SUPPLIER shall implement this action plan upon BUYER’s acceptance thereof. If the action plan is not acceptable to BUYER, BUYER can require SUPPLIER to repair or replace, at BUYER’s option, the affected Product. In addition to bearing the costs associated therewith, if requested by BUYER, SUPPLIER shall support and provide at SUPPLIER’s expense a sufficient number of units of the Product to permit the field exchange or “hot swap” of Products at customer sites. The parties agree to make all reasonable efforts to complete the repair or replacement of all affected Products within eight (8) Business Days after written notice of epidemic failure by BUYER to SUPPLIER. SUPPLIER also agrees that BUYER will be supported with accelerated shipments of replacement Product to cover BUYER’s supply requirements. If an Epidemic Failure is caused by (i) a design, including a BUYER-provided test process, as required by the Specifications or (ii) a failure by a Component required by the Specifications, (iii) misuse or damage during transit or damage by a third party at no fault of SUPPLIER, SUPPLIER shall perform the obligations in this Section 10.5 and BUYER shall pay to SUPPLIER the fees mutually agreed upon by the parties in writing. If an Epidemic Failure is caused by any other reason other than as set forth in the immediately preceding sentence, SUPPLIER shall perform the obligations set forth in this Section free of charge. Confidential treatment is being requested for portions of this document. This copy of the document filed as an exhibit omits the confidential information subject to the confidentiality request.   • Excused Absences Absences will be excused only under the following circumstances.

  • Epidemic Failure Warranty Supplier warrants all Products against Epidemic Failure for a period of three years after DXC’s Acceptance. Epidemic Failure means the occurrence of the same failure, defect, or non-conformity with an Order in 2% or more of Products within any three-month period.

  • Termination Due to Force Majeure Event If the period of Force Majeure continues or is in the reasonable judgment of the Parties likely to continue beyond a period of 120 (one hundred and twenty) Days, the Parties may mutually decide to terminate this Agreement or continue this Agreement on mutually agreed revised terms. If the Parties are unable to reach an agreement in this regard, the Affected Party shall after the expiry of the said period of 120 (one hundred and twenty ) Days be entitled to terminate the Agreement in which event, the provisions of Articles 16 and 17 shall, to the extent expressly made applicable, apply.

  • Termination due to Force Majeure 13.5.1 If the Force Majeure Event or its effects continue to be present beyond the period as specified in Article 4.5.3, either Party shall have the right to cause termination of the Agreement. In such an event, this Agreement shall terminate on the date of such Termination Notice.

  • Illness injury, or pregnancy-related condition of a member of the employee’s immediate family where the employee’s presence is reasonably necessary for the health and welfare of the employee or affected family member;

  • Termination for Material Breach Either Party (the “Terminating Party”) may terminate this Agreement in its entirety, or on a country-by-country and Product-by-Product basis, in the event the other Party (the “Breaching Party”) has materially breached this Agreement, and such material breach has not been cured within sixty (60) days after receipt of written notice of such breach by the Breaching Party from the Terminating Party (the “Cure Period”). The written notice describing the alleged material breach shall provide sufficient detail to put the Breaching Party on notice of such material breach. Any termination of this Agreement pursuant to this Section 10.3 shall become effective at the end of the Cure Period, unless the Breaching Party has cured any such material breach prior to the expiration of such Cure Period; provided that in the event a claim of material breach is being contested diligently and in good faith by appropriate proceedings hereunder, any termination pursuant to this Section shall not become effective unless and until such material breach has been established in such proceedings and, in the event that, following such establishment, a cure may then be accomplished by the payment of money or the taking of certain actions, such payment or actions are not paid or taken within sixty (60) days of the conclusion of such proceedings. The right of either Party to terminate this Agreement as provided in this Section 10.3 shall not be affected in any way by such Party’s waiver of or failure to take action with respect to any previous breach under this Agreement.

  • Rejection During Probation ‌ (a) The Employer may reject any probationary employee for just cause. A rejection during probation shall not be considered a dismissal for the purpose of Clause 10.
