Union Recognition and Check Off. A. The Township recognizes the Union as the exclusive representative, as certified on June 22, 1970 and on May 30, 1972 by the New Jersey Public Employment Relations Commission for the purposes of collective negotiation with respect to the terms and conditions of employment of all full-time, permanent blue collar employees employed by Toms River Township, Ocean County, New Jersey, but excluding those employed in the Police Department and all office clerical employees, seasonal employees, professional employees, craft employees, policemen, managerial executives and supervisors within the meaning of the New Jersey Employer/Employee Relations Act of 1974 and all other employees of the Township.

Union Recognition and Check Off. The Company recognizes the Union as the ex- clusive bargaining agent for all employees as defined in Article of this Agreement. The Company agrees that during the term of this Agreement, or any renewal thereof, it will deduct from the last complete pay period in each month from the earnings of each employee, an amount equal to the monthly dues of Union Members as authorized by the Constitution of the Union. The amounts so de- ducted shall be remitted each month to the person designated by the Union, in writing to the Company, along with the name of any employee whose wages were insufficient to permit such deduction and the Company shall not be obligated to make such de- duction from subsequent wages. An employee may become a member of the Union or may refrain from becoming a member of the Union. as he so desires. Each employee hired on or after the date of execution of this Agreement shall sign a payroll de- duction authorization in the following form: authorization for payroll deduction Date I hereby authorize and direct one of the following companies MINES, LAKE RAILWAY COMPANY, LIMITED, to deduct each month from my earnings an amount equal to the Union dues authorized by the Constitution of the United Steel- workers of America and to remit the amount so de- ducted to the person designated by the Union in writ- ing to the Company.

  • Recognition and Negotiations The Employer or anyone authorized to act on their behalf recognizes the Union as the sole collective bargaining agency for its employees classified and covered by this Agreement. The Employer agrees to negotiate with the Union or anyone authorized to act on behalf of the Union, in any and all matters affecting the relationship between the parties to this Agreement.
