Substitute Holidays. The Appointing Authority may, after consultation with the Association, designate alternate days for the observance of Veterans Day and Presidents' Day.
Substitute Holidays. (a) When a holiday falls on a Sunday, the following Monday is a substitute holiday and observed as a holiday for that year for each eligible employee.

When the holiday falls on a normally scheduled day off, the employee will notify the supervisor in advance and mutually agree to a substitute, alternate day within that work week. The employee shall be entitled to compensation for that substitute, alternate holiday equal to the compensation that the employee would have received had they worked that day. Holiday pay shall not be disbursed such that an employee’s total work week and/or assigned work day exceeds that employee’s normally scheduled work week.
