COURT/JURY DUTY LEAVE. Section 1. An employee who is in off duty status and is required to appear in court in reference to his/her official duties as an employee of the Fire Department shall receive a compensation at one and one half (1.5) times their regular, hourly rate of pay for all the time spent for court duty, plus one (1) hour for travel time. An employee who is subpoenaed for jury duty at a time he/she is scheduled for duty, said employee will be paid his regular, hourly rate of pay during his absence. In the event an employee is released early from jury duty, he will be required to report for work following jury duty. A copy of the subpoena shall be submitted at the time of the request for civil leave.

COURT/JURY DUTY LEAVE. 6.11.1 In the case of jury duty or court appearance as the result of employment by the Board of Education, no deductions shall be made from the employee's accumulated sick leave or personal leave. Pay for days of such absences will be at the employee's regular daily rate. Court appearance as a result of employment does not include any appearance where the employee is a plaintiff, except as a plaintiff in assault leave under Section 6.11.2.
COURT/JURY DUTY LEAVE. When an employee in the bargaining unit receives a notice to appear before the Jury Commission for examination to serve as a juror, the employee must immediately inform his/her supervisor and forward a copy of the summons to the Director of Human Resources.
COURT/JURY DUTY LEAVE. An employee who is required to report for jury duty or is subpoenaed to appear before any court, commission, board, or other legally constituted body, where the employee is not a party to the action, shall be entitled to leave with pay for the scheduled work hours lost as the result of such duty. COURT/JURY DUTY LEAVE. Section 24.1: An employee who is in off-duty status and is required to appear in court in reference to his/her official duties as an employee of the Fire Department shall receive a minimum of two (2) hours pay at one and one-half (l-1/2) time the employee’s regular straight time hourly rate of pay. An employee who is subpoenaed for jury duty will be paid his regular hourly rate during his absence. He will, however, be required to turn over all monies received from the court to the Employer prior to the Employer providing any payment. In the event an employee is released early from jury duty, he will be required to report for work following jury duty. A copy of subpoena shall be submitted at the time of the request for civil leave.

Leave for Appearance in Court In case of absence from duty in response to a subpoena or jury summons in a case in court, or in an administrative hearing in which the certified employee is not a part, there shall be no deduction from the salary of the employee provided that the amount of any witness or jury fee or other compensation received by the employee, excluding reimbursement paid to the certified employee specifically for expenses incurred by reason of such subpoena or summons, is paid to the Board of Education. If such payment is not made, full salary for the period of absence shall be deducted from the employee's pay. Amount of fee should be stated on the absence affidavit. In case of absence from duty for any court proceedings or administrative hearing in which the certified employee is a party, no salary shall be paid to the employee for the period of absence, unless the absence is first authorized by the Superintendent. An absence affidavit must be submitted upon return to work.
