Temporary Duty Leave and reimbursement for the administration of the FRID QA, FRID EIE, EIPA, or NAD-RID NIC test will be provided by the District with prior approval from the Director of Exceptional Student Education.
Temporary Duty Leave. Upon the approval of the Superintendent, a teacher may be assigned 46 to be temporarily away from his/her regular duties and/or place of employment for the purpose of 1 performing other educational services, including but not limited to participation in surveys, 2 professional meetings, study courses, workshops, professional organizational meetings, and 3 similar services of direct and long-term benefit to the educational program. Such assignment may 4 be initiated by the principal or other immediate supervisor, the Superintendent or by the individual 5 who desires the temporary duty. Temporary duty, when approved by the Superintendent, shall be 6 with full compensation of salary. Each request for temporary duty shall be filed with the teacher’s 7 principal or other immediate supervisor as early as possible but at least one (1) week in advance 8 of the effective date of the temporary duty. In the event that temporary duty leave is denied, the 9 administrator denying the leave shall provide the reasons for the denial in writing to the teacher at 10 the time of denial.

Should the candidate elect to drop out of the program or fail to complete the program, the cost of the day taken for temporary duty shall be reimbursed to the Board by payroll deduction or by use of one (1) day of the candidate’s personal leave.
