Academic Expectations. The Residence Halls are an academic learning environment. Students that are admitted into the Residence Halls should maintain an academic workload of at least 12 academic units and a minimum GPA of 2.0 each semester while living in the Halls.

Academic Expectations. I will enroll in the required number of credit hours (or equivalent) to maintain both good academic standing while participating in the program and the visa or entry clearance requirements per my host country. I understand that failure to do so may jeopardize my participation in a program as well as my academic record at Saint Michael’s College. I am responsible for submitting all forms required by Saint Michael’s College and the host institution for each course for which transfer credit will be requested. I understand that additional information may need to be provided at the completion of the program before final credit approval is granted. I understand that course pre-requisites required by Saint Michael’s College and the host institution must be met and that course registration at the host institution is based on availability of offerings and cannot be guaranteed.

Academic credit for any Study Abroad Program will not be granted until the College receives both an official written evaluation of the program by the student and official acknowledgment of completion of your Study Abroad Program. Such acknowledgment must be in the form of an official transcript or similar document.

All Community Advisors are required to maintain a minimum of 12 credits each semester. CAs are required to maintain a 2.5 term and 2.5 cumulative GPA during the employment period. If a CA’s GPA or credits drop below the minimum required, they may be placed on employment probation or be released from the CA contract.

Academic Expectations. As a condition of award of the Graduate Assistantship, the student is expected to maintain continuous enrollment on a full-time basis and remain in good academic standing as defined in the SOPH Good Academic Standing Policy. Students awarded a Graduate Assistantship will provide teaching, research, and/or administrative support to assist faculty in their department with their teaching and research responsibilities. Stipends are provided to graduate students to assist with living expenses while they pursue a Ph.D. degree. Graduate students supported by stipends from either UMMC or research grants are expected to devote their full efforts to their classes, research projects, and graduate assistantship duties. Although outside employment is strongly discouraged, permission may be granted to graduate students for the purpose of working in a related field of study (e.g., teaching a course at a community college) that may be considered appropriate training for their career. Outside employment requires the written consent of the chairman of the student’s advisory committee, the Director of the Graduate Program, and the Xxxx of the SOPH. The Outside Employment Request Form is available on the SOPH website and in the Xxxx’x Office. The form must be completed and approved prior to seeking such employment. Failure to adhere to these guidelines may result in disciplinary action, up to and including loss of stipend and dismissal from the graduate program.

Academic Expectations. Students will receive huge levels of support during their time at South Bank but are ultimately responsible for their learning and attainment. In order to be successful they must:  Be organised (Bringing the right equipment and books as well as regularly organising and cleaning their folders)  Be punctual to lessons  Be present to lessons  Be collaborative. A-levels are significant step up from GCSE and require students to work with other and engage in class discussion.  Be prepared. Students will receive large quantities of homework that needs effective time management and resilience to complete as well as regular assessments that must be prepared for. Resits for failed exams take place after the normal school day not in lessons, teachers will set the required pass xxxx xxxxx to the exam.  Make the most of every opportunity. There will be a wide range of extracurricular activities available as well as a lot of additional specialist support, with many staff members available at the end of the day. It is the student’s responsibility to seek additional help and clarification of content. Examples of additional opportunities are: - Extended School Hours - Mentoring - Intervention - The Elephant Group - The Brilliant Club - Internships - External Lectures Plagiarism of any kind is treated incredibly seriously. If a student plagiarises another student’s work they will put their place at South Bank at risk and will receive immediate sanctions.
Academic Expectations. Students will follow the extra curricular eligibility expectations. Any student who has two (2) Ds or one (1) F is considered ineligible for trip. a. Ineligibility at any midterm/term requires parent signature and meeting with eligibility board for reinstatement possibility. b. Students considered ineligible must submit a letter of appeal and attend a meeting with the eligibility board to be considered for reinstatement. c. Reinstatements will be considered on a case by case basis.

  • Economic Cooperation 1. The Parties will encourage the utilization of cooperation instruments and mechanisms with a view to strengthen the processes of economic integration and commercial exchange. 2. The objectives of economic cooperation will be: (a) to build on existing agreements or arrangements already in place for trade and economic cooperation; and (b) to advance and strengthen trade and economic relations between the Parties. 3. The Parties will encourage and facilitate, as appropriate, the following activities, including, but not limited to: (a) dialogue about policies and regular exchanges of information and views on ways to promote and expand trade in goods and services between the Parties; (b) joint elaboration of studies and technical projects of economic interest according to the economic development needs identified by the Parties; (c) keeping each other informed of important economic and trade issues, and any impediments to furthering their economic cooperation; (d) providing assistance and facilities to business persons and trade missions that visit the other Party with the knowledge and support of the relevant agencies; (e) supporting dialogue and exchanges of experience among the respective business communities of the Parties; (f) establishing and developing mechanisms for providing information and identifying opportunities for business cooperation, trade in goods and services, investment, and government procurement; and (g) stimulating and facilitating actions of public and/or private sectors in areas of economic interest.

  • Working Groups From time to time, a Joint Committee may establish and delegate duties to sub-committees or directed teams (each, a “Working Group”) on an “as-needed” basis to oversee particular projects or activities (e.g., joint project team, joint finance group, or joint intellectual property group). Each such Working Group shall be constituted and shall operate as the Joint Committee determines; provided, that each Working Group shall have equal representation from each Party, unless otherwise mutually agreed. Working Groups may be established on an ad hoc basis for purposes of a specific project or on such other basis as the Joint Committee may determine. Each Working Group and its activities shall be subject to the oversight, review and approval of, and shall report to, the Joint Committee that formed said Working Group. In no event shall the authority of the Working Group exceed that specified for the Joint Committee that formed the Working Group. All decisions of a Working Group shall be by unanimous agreement. Any disagreement between the designees of AbbVie and Ablynx on a Working Group shall be referred to the Joint Committee that formed the Working Group for resolution.

  • Commercialization Reports Throughout the term of this Agreement and during the Sell-Off Period, and within thirty (30) days of December 31st of each year, Company will deliver to University written reports of Company’s and Sublicensees’ efforts and plans to develop and commercialize the innovations covered by the Licensed Rights and to make and sell Licensed Products. Company will have no obligation to prepare commercialization reports in years where (a) Company delivers to University a written Sales Report with active sales, and (b) Company has fulfilled all Performance Milestones. In relation to each of the Performance Milestones each commercialization report will include sufficient information to demonstrate achievement of those Performance Milestones and will set out timeframes and plans for achieving those Performance Milestones which have not yet been met.

  • Safe Working Conditions The Employer undertakes to maintain office furniture, equipment, etc., in a practical and safe condition in order to avoid injury to employees or damage to their attire. Employees, for their part and in their own interest, are expected to advise the Employer of any such potentially injurious equipment.

  • Training a. The employer, in consultation with the local, shall be responsible for developing and implementing an ongoing harassment and sexual harassment awareness program for all employees. Where a program currently exists and meets the criteria listed in this agreement, such a program shall be deemed to satisfy the provisions of this article. This awareness program shall initially be for all employees and shall be scheduled at least once annually for all new employees to attend. b. The awareness program shall include but not be limited to: i. the definitions of harassment and sexual harassment as outlined in this Agreement; ii. understanding situations that are not harassment or sexual harassment, including the exercise of an employer's managerial and/or supervisory rights and responsibilities; iii. developing an awareness of behaviour that is illegal and/or inappropriate; iv. outlining strategies to prevent harassment and sexual harassment; v. a review of the resolution of harassment and sexual harassment as outlined in this Agreement; vi. understanding malicious complaints and the consequences of such; vii. outlining any Board policy for dealing with harassment and sexual harassment; viii. outlining laws dealing with harassment and sexual harassment which apply to employees in B.C.
