Administrative Initiated Transfers. 12.2.1 Notice of involuntary transfer or reassignment shall be given at least ten working days prior to transfer. 12.2.2 No transfer shall take place without serious considerations of a person’s qualifications and abilities. In no case shall a person be transferred into a position he/she is not capable of handling.

Administrative Initiated Transfers. 5.3.1 Notice of an involuntary transfer or reassignment shall be given to teachers as soon as possible. A list of these teachers, current positions, and new assignments, when made, shall be given to the ETA President. 5.3.2 Involuntary transfers shall be made according to seniority unless they conflict with the instructional requirements and best interest of the school, and only after volunteers have been sought. 5.3.3 An involuntary transfer or reassignment will be made only after a meeting between the teacher involved and the Superintendent, or his designee, at which time the teacher will be given reasons for the transfer. 5.3.4 In all involuntary transfers, the person initiating the involuntary transfer request shall state such request in writing to the Superintendent with copies to the teacher or teachers involved in transfer request. 5.3.5 Teachers being involuntarily transferred or reassigned shall have the right to apply for any open positions prior to being reassigned. All such teachers will be given opportunity of released time for the purpose of visiting schools at which the open position exists.

Administrative Initiated Transfers. Teachers receiving an administrative-initiated transfer shall be informed in writing by the building principal of an impending transfer with the reasons for said transfer. Teachers will be notified no later than the second to last week of the school year for transfers that are not a result of enrollment, retirements, or extended leaves of absence. A teacher notified of such an impending transfer shall be granted a conference with the Superintendent, Human Resources, or Instructional Services Director if requested. At such conference, the teacher shall have the reason(s) for such transfer delineated. Such conference shall be on a mutually set date. Administrators will consider skill level, experience, certification/licensure, and other teachers who may volunteer for open positions when initiating a teacher transfer. Consideration will also be given to the last time the teacher was moved. If not notified prior to two weeks in advance of the school year, the teacher making the involuntary move (building, room, or grade) will be paid $250.00 for consideration of lost time during the move.

The Teacher shall have the right to Bargaining Unit representation during this meeting. 18.10.5 When a Teacher is subject to an administrative initiated transfer from a School in one municipality to a School in another municipality within the Entity, the Board will pay the Teacher an allowance of one thousand one hundred dollars ($1,100) per semester, while at the new School. 18.10.6 A Teacher who is transferred within the Entity formed by Xxxxxx Xxxxxxxx Secondary School and Timmins High and Vocational School shall not be entitled to the allowance outlined in 18.10.5.

Where applicable, the certified employee will be given teaching which is considered as rendering service to the district student meeting. Transfers will be made only to positions in which they are properly certified. This could occur at any time based on the schedule and the needs of the school district. 2. If a transfer is deemed necessary after August 1 or during the school year, up to ten days will be given (where applicable) for the certified employee to prepare for the new assignment and provide for a smooth transition. 3. If the need arises during “off contract" time, the employee will be notified via phone call from the building administration where the teacher transfer will be discussed.
