Aircraft Technician. POSITION OVERVIEW: The Aircraft Technician is responsible for conducting all servicing and maintenance tasks. Licensed Aircraft Technician – Must be employed in Categories 1, 19 or 38 and possess the qualifications of an Aircraft Technician with an Air Canada “Aircraft Certification Authority” (ACA) applicable to the types of aircraft expected to be maintained. The LAT will exercise the privileges of their Aircraft Certification Authority (ACA) including providing technical job direction and mentoring to ATs and other LATs. In addition must possess any additional authorization as required for in the applicable category.
Aircraft Technician. An Aircraft Technician shall be any employee classified as an Aircraft Technician on the date of this Agreement and any future employee assigned to Aircraft Technician's work, who, with the aid of tools, can repair, erect, assemble, dismantle and maintain aircraft, automotive and other machinery and mechanical devices or parts in a satisfactory manner. The work of a Technician shall include all work recognized as mechanic's work performed in and about shops, hangars or airfields, operated and maintained by the Company, including but not limited to mechanical work involved in dismantling, overhauling, servicing, inspecting, repairing, fabricating, assembling, refueling, de-icing, sheet metal working, welding and erecting all parts of airplanes, airplane engines, radio equipment, electrical systems, heating systems, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, oxygen systems, instruments and machine tool work in connection therewith. He must hold such licenses as are required by law. He will maintain his working area and equipment in a clean and orderly manner. He must at all times accept the responsibility for work performed by himself and sign for same on the Company's approved inspection check sheet. He may be assigned to amend technical manuals.

Aircraft Technician. The work of the Aircraft Technician shall include all work generally recognized as Aircraft Technician’s work performed by the Company in its airline operations in and about the Company shops, maintenance bases and maintenance stations, including but not limited to checks, dismantling, overhauling, repairing, fabricating, assembling, welding, erecting and painting all parts of aircraft, aircraft engines, radio equipment, instruments, electrical systems, heating systems, hydraulic systems and machine tool work in connection therewith. Aircraft technicians must meet minimum qualifications set forth by the General Maintenance Manual.

Related to Aircraft Technician

  • Personnel Equipment and Material Engineer shall furnish and maintain, at its own expense, quarters for the performance of all Engineering Services, and adequate and sufficient personnel and equipment to perform the Engineering Services as required. All employees of Engineer shall have such knowledge and experience as will enable them to perform the duties assigned to them. Any employee of Engineer who, in the reasonable opinion of County, is incompetent or whose conduct becomes detrimental to the Engineering Services shall immediately be removed from association with the Project when so instructed by County. Engineer certifies that it presently has adequate qualified personnel in its employment for performance of the Engineering Services required under this Contract, or will obtain such personnel from sources other than County. Engineer may not change the Project Manager without prior written consent of County.

  • Aircraft This peril includes self-propelled missiles and spacecraft.

  • Equipment and Materials CONTRACTOR shall provide all equipment, materials, and supplies necessary for the performance on the Agreement except:

  • Manufacturer A firm that operates or maintains a factory or establishment that produces on the premises, the materials or supplies obtained by the Contractor. Regular Dealer - A firm that owns, operates, or maintains a store, warehouse, or other establishment in which the materials or supplies required for the performance of the contract are bought, kept in stock, and regularly sold to the public in the usual course of business.   • TECHNICAL TASKS Products that require a draft version are indicated by marking “(draft and final)” after the product name in the “Products” section of the task/subtask. If “(draft and final)” does not appear after the product name, only a final version of the product is required. Subtask 1.1 (Products) describes the procedure for submitting products to the CAM.

  • Contractor’s Equipment Payment for required equipment owned by the Construction Manager or an affiliate of the Construction Manager will be based solely on an hourly rate derived by dividing the current appropriate monthly rate by 176 hours. No payment will be made under any circumstances for repair costs, freight and transportation charges, fuel, lubricants, insurance, any other costs and expenses, or overhead and profit. Payment for such equipment made idle by delays attributable to the Government will be based on one-half the derived hourly rate under this subsection.
