Weekly Guarantee. Apprentices must be employed a minimum of forty (40) hours per week.
Weekly Guarantee. 8.01 The Company agrees to guarantee every employee with seniority in excess of one year and not otherwise excluded, in every week of employment in each year, thirty-two (32) hours' pay at regular rates subject to the following provisions:
(a) The Company shall at its discretion adjust the work force in proportion to the work available or expected. To provide employees with their weekly guarantee the Company shall be free to distribute available work equitably within the work force.
(b) The guarantee shall be reduced by pay for the number of hours for which an employee is not eligible for payment of wages. This will include tardiness or absence from work on any day, or part of a day, quitting or hiring during the week, being engaged in a stoppage of work, suspension, or dismissal or being on layoff. All employees who have earnings during any week shall be entitled to the full thirty-two (32) hour guarantee for such weeks and shall not have their guarantee reduced or eliminated by reason of a layoff.
(c) The guarantee shall be the same in weeks in which the paid public holidays occur as in others. Pay received for public holidays shall be regarded as part of the guarantee. If holidays other than the agreed public holidays are observed, by agreement or as required by law, the guarantee in such weeks shall be the number of hours available for work.
(d) When an employee's working hours are reduced below the guaranteed minimum in one fiscal week and correspondingly increased in another fiscal week as a consequence of changing shifts, the guarantee, if any, for each of the two (2) weeks affected shall be calculated and paid on a proportionate basis as thirty-two (32) is to the number of hours in the normal work week.
(e) In consideration of the foregoing, the Union agrees and the Company expects that employees will perform whatever tasks may be assigned to them conscientiously.
(f) Employees must complete four thousand, one hundred sixty (4,160) hours worked after their hire date before becoming eligible for the provisions of the guaranteed work week.
8.02 Any employee who is called for work for the express purpose of relieving an employee because of sickness, shall not be entitled to the thirty-two (32) hour guarantee provisions of this Article.
Weekly Guarantee. 19.01 It is agreed as follows:
a. The Weekly Guarantee will apply during the period of the first week in January to the end of the second full week in April.
b. The Employer may, in conformity with the seniority provisions governing layoffs, reduce its working force by laying off employees to whatever extent it deems necessary.
c. The Employer agrees to guarantee earnings equivalent to thirty-five (35) times their basic hourly rate, for each scheduled work week, to 75% of the daily average of those employed in each classification during that week. This 75% shall be made up on the basis of seniority in each classification. The remaining employees in each classification other than those who have received an E.I. Record of Employment Form from the Employer shall receive a minimum gross payment for that week of twenty- one (21) hours at regular pay (the appropriate E.I. deductions to be made and remitted). Any employee who has received an E.I. Record of Employment Form and is requested to work shall report, unless he has a reasonable reason for not reporting.
d. Those employees who are not expected to be working in a given week shall be so informed by the last day of the Employer’s work week, in order that such employees may immediately register for the maximum benefits under the Employment Insurance Act, 1971. Failure to notify the employee shall result in the employee receiving the applicable minimum guarantee of twenty-one (21) hours at regular pay, as set out herein for the week (it is understood and agreed that if the employee is not working on the last day of the Employer’s work week, a telephone call to the last telephone number registered with the Employer by noon of the following work day shall constitute notice under this Section). Any employee who has been so informed and is requested to work shall report unless he has a reasonable reason for not reporting.
e. Notwithstanding the provisions of Article 10, an employee or employees who have worked insufficient hours to earn the applicable minimum guarantee as set out herein may be worked in lieu of an employee or employees who have earned thirty-five (35) times their basic hourly rate or more during that scheduled work week. In order to apply the provisions of 19.01 (d) the Employer must have employees on layoff.
f. Notwithstanding the provisions contained herein, the parties to this Collective Agreement shall, providing it is mutually agreed and reduced to writing, be free to introduce a system which...
Weekly Guarantee. (a) The Employer shall guarantee to each employee from date of departure from the staging area to date of return to the staging area, both days inclusive, not less than the equivalent of forty (40) hours pay at the employee's regular straight time hourly rate for each week of seven (7) consecutive days, provided that the employee is available for work, except for reasons of illness or emergency.
Weekly Guarantee. Except as otherwise mutually agreed by the Parties hereto, the Company shall guarantee sixty percent (60%) of its employees in this classification, taken in order of their seniority and to a minimum of one out of two, two out of three, not less than forty (40) hours wages per week. The Company may average the guarantee over a two week pay period commencing on a Sunday and ending on the fourteenth day, Saturday pay period.
Weekly Guarantee. The Company agrees to guarantee every employee with seniority in excess of one year and not otherwise excluded, in every week of employment in each year, thirty-two (32) hours' pay at regular rates subject to the following provisions:
Weekly Guarantee. 16.1 A work week is guaranteed to consist of not less than 40 hours pay at the applicable classification rate, with not less than 2 consecutive days off.
16.2 Absences for the following reasons will not reduce the weekly guarantee:
1. Attending Court in accordance with the collective agreement (Article 37) 2. Bereavement Leave (Article 37)
Weekly Guarantee. Part-time employees who have completed their probationary period shall be scheduled for at least twenty (20) hours work in each week, sixteen (16) hours for Helper Clerks and Senior Courtesy Clerks (no guarantee for Courtesy Clerks). Time off with pay (vacation, sick, etc.) shall be counted towards this weekly minimum. The aforementioned weekly guarantee shall not apply if one (1) or more of the following conditions exist:
(1) A week in which the employee restricts his/her availability during the week.
(2) Work is not available due to acts of God.
Weekly Guarantee. Except as otherwise mutually agreed by the Parties hereto, the Company shall guarantee sixty percent (60%)of its employees in this classification, taken in order of their seniority and to a minimum of one out of two, two out of three, not less than forty (40) hours wages per week. The Company may the guarantee over a two week pay period commencing on a Sunday and ending on the fourteenth day, Saturday pay period. Section Worktime Worktime shall include, but not be limitedto loading, unloading, repairs of equipment, chaining and unchaining (of tires), time spent on ferries or boats (except as otherwise provided in Article herein and when drivers are required to stay with the equipment). When the driver performs the function, fuelling at Company pumps, and key pumps, hooking up, unhooking, switching on complete interchange of equipment will be included as work time. Section Travel
Weekly Guarantee. (a) The Foundation agrees to make forty (40) hours of work available to seasonal full time Employees and twenty (20) hours of work available to seasonal part time Employees during the scheduled term of their employment. Notwithstanding the foregoing, any hours an Employee is paid for during a work week while performing work in Foundation facilities for parties other than the Foundation, shall be applied to the Foundation’s undertaking to provide this guarantee. All hours submitted shall constitute part of an Employees guaranteed hours.
(b) Notwithstanding the provisions of (a) above, the Foundation may schedule up to 4 hours of time not worked per work week, to fulfil its obligations in providing a guarantee.
(c) When a part-time Employee has been scheduled for more than (20) hours in a week other than for the setup and run of performances, the Employee will notify the production office and the Department Head or SUPERVISOR within twenty- four (24) hours of the publication of the schedule that they either:
i) wish to be scheduled for forty (40) hours of work; or
ii) to remain with the scheduled hours
