Annual Leave Buy Back. A unit employee may elect to use annual leave credits, deferred hours, or compensatory time, to conduct Union business. Only the unit employee may purchase back from the State the total cost to the State of such credits subject to the following:
Annual Leave Buy Back. An employee laid off from State employment who is rehired to a permanent position in a Department or Agency other than the one from which he/she was laid off, on other than a temporary basis, may elect to buy back up to eighty (80) hours of accrued annual leave which has been paid off. An employee recalled to the Department and Agency from which he/she was laid off may elect to buy back any portion of annual leave up to the amount paid off. An employee electing this option shall buy back the annual leave in the manner currently provided by Civil Service Rules and/or Procedures. Such payment shall be made to the Department making the original payoff. Such option may be exercised only once per recall, and may only be exercised during the first thirteen (13) pay periods of the recall.
Annual Leave Buy Back. A laid off employee who has been rehired from layoff to a permanent position in a different Department/Agency may elect to buy back up to eighty (80) hours of accrued annual leave which had been paid off. An employee recalled to the Department/Agency from which he/she was laid off may elect to buy back any portion of annual leave up to the amount he/she was paid off. An employee electing this option shall buy back the annual leave at the returning rate of pay. Such payment shall be made to the Department/Agency making the original payoff. Such option may be exercised only once per recall, and must be exercised during the first thirteen (13) pay periods of the recall/rehire.
Annual Leave Buy Back. Subject to funding and at the sole discretion of the Sheriff, bargaining unit employees may elect to receive payment for up to forty (40) hours of annual leave at their current rate of base salary as reflected in the current salary schedule. Should an annual leave payout be approved, such elections must be received in writing by the Human Resources Director no later than September 1 during the term of this Agreement (October 1, 2017 through September 30, 2020). Requests received after the September 1 deadline will not be granted. Should any other bargaining unit within the same funding source receive an annual leave buy back during the term of this Agreement (October 1, 2017 through September 30, 2020), the employees within this bargaining unit who elect to receive the payment will receive the same option.

When the employee elects to utilize annual leave credits, the Union may “buy back” such credits with the following restrictions:

Permanent Employees with Over Ten Years of Service Permanent employees with over one year of service in Unit D and over ten years of service in County employment may sell back to the County an additional 40 hours of annual leave; up to one hundred sixty (160) hours of their annual leave in any calendar year if the following conditions are met:

When an employee designated in accordance with Section 3 of this Article utilizes unpaid leave time and elects to utilize annual leave credits, the employee may "buy back" such credits with the following restrictions:

Annual Leave Buy Back. A unit employee may elect to use annual leave 25 credits, deferred hours, or compensatory time, to conduct Union business.
Annual Leave Buy Back. Staff members will have the option for the first four (4) unused days of their annual leave days to be bought back by the district at the end of the school year at the substitute teacher rate of pay. This option must be elected on or before June 1st for payment on their June or July 15th paycheck.
