Appearances. (a) When an employee participates during working hours in an arbitration proceeding or in a grievance meeting between the grievant or representative and the University, that employee's compensation shall neither be reduced nor increased for time spent in those activities.
(b) Prior to participation in any such proceedings, conferences, or meetings, the employee shall make arrangements acceptable to the appropriate supervisor for the performance of the employee's duties. Approval of such arrangements shall not be unreasonably withheld. Time spent in such activities outside regular working hours shall not be counted as time worked.

(a) When an employee participates during scheduled hours in an arbitration proceeding or in a grievance meeting between the grievant, grievant's counsel or UFF representative and the University, that employee's compensation shall neither be reduced nor increased for time spent in those activities.
(b) Prior to participation in any such proceedings, conferences, or meetings, the employee shall make arrangements acceptable to the appropriate supervisor for the performance of the employee's duties. Approval of such arrangements shall not be unreasonably withheld. Time spent in such activities outside scheduled hours shall not be counted as time worked.

If it is necessary for an employee to participate in a grievance or arbitration proceeding during working hours, the employee's salary shall neither be reduced nor increased for time spent in such activities. Prior to participation in any such proceeding, the employee shall make arrangements acceptable to the Xxxxxxx for the performance of the employee's duties. Approval of such arrangements shall not be unreasonably withheld.
Appearances. Leave with pay shall be granted for appearances, in connection with an employee’s officially assigned duties, before a court, legislative committee, judicial or quasi-judicial body as a witness in response to a subpoena or other direction by proper authority. The compensation paid to such employee shall be reduced by an amount equal to any compensation he/she may receive as a witness fee.
Appearances. Unit Operators shall, after notice to other parties affected, have the right to appear for and on behalf of any and all interest affected hereby before the Department of the Interior and the Commissioner of Public Lands and Division, and to appeal from orders issued under the regulations of said Department or Land Commissioner and Division or to apply for relief from any of said regulations, or in any proceedings relative to operations before the Department or the Land Commissioner and Division or any other legally constituted authority; provided, however, that any other interested party shall also have the right at its own expense to be heard in any such proceeding.
Appearances. If it is necessary for an Employee to participate in a settlement meeting or a grievance hearing, or arbitration proceeding during work hours, the Employee's salary shall neither be reduced nor increased for time spent in such activities. Prior to participation in any such proceeding, the Employee shall make arrangements acceptable to the Xxxxxxx/Vice President for Academic Affairs for the performance of the Employee's duties. Approval of such arrangements shall not be unreasonably withheld.
Appearances. Whenever possible, grievance meetings shall be scheduled so as not to interfere with professional responsibilities of individuals involved. If it is necessary to meet with the employer during working hours, the grievant, one union representative who is a member of the bargaining unit, and necessary witnesses may attend without loss of time or compensation for such meetings.
Appearances. 19.1 Unit Operator shall, after notice to other parties affected, have the right to appear for and on behalf of any and all interests affected hereby before the Department of the Interior, and to appeal from decisions, orders or rulings issued under the regulations of said Department, or to apply for relief from any of said regulations or in any proceedings relative to operations before the Department of the Interior or any other legally constituted authority: Provided, however, that any interested parties shall also have the right, at their own expense, to be heard in any such proceeding.
Appearances. Time necessary for appearances in any legal proceeding connected with the member's employment or with the school system shall be at full salary. This provision shall not apply in any legal proceedings initiated by or on behalf of a member against the District.

When a Faculty Member participates during normal working hours in an arbitration proceeding or in a Grievance meeting between the Grievant and the University, the Faculty Member’s compensation shall not be reduced for time spent in those activities. Prior to participation in any such proceedings, conferences, or meetings, the Faculty Member will make arrangements for the performance of the Faculty Member’s duties. Approval of such arrangements will not be unreasonably withheld. Time spent in such activities outside regular working hours will not be counted as time worked.
