APPRENTICE OVERTIME. The names of apprentices will not appear on group overtime records. Apprentices may be considered for overtime when, in the opinion of supervision, the apprentice is capable of performing the work and such overtime assignment does not interfere with the classroom or associated training time. Upon promotion to journeyman status, the employee will be placed at the average hours of the assigned overtime group.

APPRENTICE OVERTIME. The Company will continue with the practice of asking all Journeymen Tradespersons before Apprentices. Apprentices may be asked to work overtime before Journeymen Trades people to continue a job in progress, or, by mutual agreement, for a specific project or training. ACQUIRING SENIORITY
APPRENTICE OVERTIME. The following procedure shall be used to schedule overtime for apprentices assigned to Skilled Trades Groups: Apprentices in an overtime allocation unit may be scheduled to work overtime if such overtime involves work which they normally perform during their regularly scheduled work hours or if the work is determined to be of an educational benefit to the apprentice. At no time will more apprentices be scheduled than the number of working journeymen. Letter of Agreement No. 8

APPRENTICE OVERTIME. No apprentice shall be employed on overtime work in an office unless the number of journeymen working overtime on the same shift equals the ratio prescribed in Section D, 1, of this Article unless journeymen have declined the overtime.
APPRENTICE OVERTIME. From time to time, the University has taken advantage of programs of the government to take on apprentices in trades areas. Among the issues of concern is the assignment of overtime to persons holding these positions. The following outlines the intention of the University and Local regarding overtime. Generally, there is no preclusion to utilizing an apprentice on overtime, but there is no guarantee to equalization of overtime with the certified trades covered under Clause Under normal circumstances, the apprentice can only be asked to work overtime for tasks that they are competently trained after all persons in that trade have been asked and turned down the work. Depending on the circumstances, the supervisor may be required to be in attendance at the work site. Recognizing that some "emergency is done on off hours, the University will endeavor to schedule the apprentice in a support role with other trades personnel when applicable. Recognizing that an apprentice is expected to be exposed to a wide range of experiences within the trades, scheduled overtime to perform work that is not or cannot be performed during normal work hours should include the apprentice when applicable.

  • Apprentice Wages (a) Apprentices’ rates of pay are set out in Appendix B which includes the description of the calculations.

  • APPRENTICES 6.36.1 The Contractor acknowledges and agrees that, if this Contract involves a dollar amount greater than or a number of working days greater than that specified in Labor Code Section 1777.5, this Contract is governed by the provisions of Labor Code Section 1777.5. It shall be the responsibility of the Contractor to ensure compliance with this Article and with Labor Code Section 1777.5 for all apprenticeable occupations.

  • Overtime Work A. Overtime pay is to be paid at the rate of one and one- half (1½) times the basic hourly straight-time rate.

  • Overtime Overtime will begin to accrue after sixty (60) hours in a two (2) week period averaged over the scheduling period determined by the local parties. Overtime will apply if the employee works in excess of the normal daily hours. Payment for overtime is as in Article 16.01.

  • Daily Overtime All employees shall be paid the applicable overtime rate of time and one-half (1-1/2) for all time worked in excess of eight (8) hours per day.

  • Planned Overtime In making planned overtime assignments the Employer shall first assign overtime on an equal opportunity basis according to each section’s procedure (Schedule E), as agreed to by the parties. Such overtime shall be assigned to employees who are actively on the payroll and who have indicated their willingness to accept overtime assignments according to section procedures and who are:

  • Holiday Overtime An employee required to work on any of the above-named holidays will be paid holiday pay plus payment for the number of hours worked at the rate of time and one-half (1-1/2) his regular straight time rate of pay.

  • Apprentice Rates Competency Based Progression

  • Adult Apprentices People who are 21 years of age or over at the time of entering into an apprenticeship with the Employer will be paid as per the wage rates set out in the appropriate Appendix to this Agreement. Where special or unusual circumstances occur or apply and where the parties to this Agreement and the adult apprentice agree in writing, the adult apprentice may be paid at a lesser rate, provided that the lesser rate will not be less than the rate for a junior apprentice set out in the appropriate Appendix to this Agreement.
