ARTICLE ASSOCIATION SECURITY. The Hospital will deduct from each nurse covered by this Agreement an amount equal to the regular monthly Association dues designated by the Association. The deduction period for a part-time nurse may be extended where the nurse does not receive any pay in a particular month. Where a nurse has no dues deducted during the payroll period from which dues are normally deducted, that deduction shall be made in the next payroll period provided the nurse has earnings in the next payroll period. If the failure to deduct dues results from an error by the Hospital, then, as soon as the error is called to its attention by the union, the Hospital shall make the deduction in the manner agreed to by the parties. If there is no agreement, the Hospital shall make the deduction in the manner prescribed by the union. Such dues shall be deducted monthly and in the case of newly employed nurses, such deductions shall commence in the month following their date of hire. The amount of the regular monthly dues shall be those authorized by the Association and the Vice-president, Finance of the Association shall notify the Hospital of any changes therein and such notification shall be the Hospital's conclusive authority to make the deduction specified. the case of any local dues levies, notificationwill be made by the local treasurer and such notification shall be the Hospital's conclusive authority to make the deduction specified. In remitting such dues, the Hospital shall provide a list of nurses from whom deductions were made, their work site ( if the bargaining unit covers more than one site) and the nurses' social insurance numbers. The list shall also include deletions and additions from the preceding month highlighting new hires, resignations, terminations, new unpaid leave of absence of greater than one (I)month and returns from leaves of absence. A representative of the Association shall be allowed fifteen (15) minutes within regular working hours to interview each nurse hired during the previous month to discuss the benefits and duties of Association membership and responsibilities to the Employer and the Association.

ARTICLE ASSOCIATION SECURITY. The Company will not interfere with the rights of the employees to become members of the Association. There shall be no discrimination, interference, restraint or coercion by the Company against any employee because of his membership, or non-membership in the Association and the Association agrees not to intimidate or coerce employees into membership. The Company agrees to deduct from each employees' pay on the first pay day in each calendar month during the term of this agreement, the regular monthly Association dues and assessments, or an amount equivalent to them levied by the Association in accordance with its Constitution and Laws. o Each employee of the Company, n hire I, as a of employment, deposit with an authorizationcard voluntarily signed by such employee and witnessed authorizingthe Company to deduct and pay to the Association the Association dues and assessment described above or an amount equivalentto them. During such interview, membership forms may be provided to the Nurse.
ARTICLE ASSOCIATION SECURITY. The Employer shall deduct each month from the wages of employees covered by this Agreement, such monthly dues as may be adopted and designated by the Association. The Association dues shall be deducted from the employee’s pay each month beginning with the month in which the employee commences employment. The Association shall notify the Employer in writing of the amount of such dues and shall notify the Employer in writing of any changes in these amounts during the term of this Agreement. Dues deducted pursuant to paragraph together with a list of the names, addresses and Social Insurance Numbers of the employees from whom such deductions have been made shall be remitted by the Employer to the Association at its business office, not later than the fifteenth (15th) day of the month following the month in which the deductions were made. The list shall also include terminations, new hires and nurses on leaves of absence. The Association shall indemnify and save the Employer harmless from any and all claims with respect to all dues so deducted and remitted under the terms of this Article.
