ARTICLE UNIFORMS. Section The Employer agrees that if employees are required to wear any of uniform as a condition of their continued employment, such uniforms shall be and maintained by the Employer of charge at the standard required by the Employer. No employee shall be required to wear a uniform that does not bear the Union label. Before employees are requested to wear a uniform by the Company, the Union shall be consulted as to type and standard, It is further provided that voluntary pooling arrangements for the purchase or rental of uniforms shall not come the scope of this Agreement.
ARTICLE UNIFORMS. The Employer shall supply standard uniforms to those personnel who are required to wear uniforms and who wish to wear the supplied items. Replacement uniforms will be supplied on the following basis:

ARTICLE UNIFORMS. If and when uniforms are required by the Employer, the Employer agrees to pay a Uniform Allowance of per hour worked. This Uniform Allowance shall be paid to all employees who are requiredto wear such uniformsfor the purchase, laundering and repair of same. Employees shall be permitted to wear uniform style pantsuits. The uniform allowance shall be paid out one time annually. EffectiveApril change quantum by adding one cent per hour or per year for full time employees.
ARTICLE UNIFORMS. It is agreed that the issuance, laundering and replacement of uniforms are to be continued on the present basis. All part time employees not being supplied uniforms in with the above shall receive a uniform allowance of thirty-five dollars ($35) a year. Payments for this allowance shall be paid pursuant to present practise which is 1/12 per month. In the event a part time employee does not work in any given month, no uniform allowance will be paid. The Hospital agrees to supply the Ambulance Attendants and Paramedic with adequate initial clothes (as specified below) when they join the staff of the Hospital and to replace such articles as necessary from time to time. New uniform components will be replaced on receipt of a signed requisition originating from the Ambulance Supervisor. Articles of clothing being replaced will be turned in to the Supervisor before issuance of replacements. Hospital supplied uniforms shall not be worn by Ambulance Attendants or Paramedic except when they are on duty or when they are on standby call. The articles of clothing to be issued consist of: Shirts each Ties each Trousers pairs Parkas each Jackets, summer each Raincoats (nylon shell) each Boots, summer Police Boots pair Boots, Ambulance Boots, winter pair Coveralls, Ministry Issue pair Hats, fur, style each I Note: The hat will be supplied on a one time issue only and the Hospital will not be responsible for the replacement of such hat for any purpose.

No employee shall be required to wear a uniform that does not bear the union label. Section Pooling Arrangements for it is further provided that voluntary pooling arrangements for the purchase of or rental of uniforms shall not come within the scope of this Agreement.

The Employer shall supply adequate overalls, smocks, rubber gloves, rubber boots, aprons, hair nets and required head coverings where needed, and all such overalls, smocks, rubber gloves, rub- ber boots, aprons, hair nets and required head cov- erings shall remain the property of the Employer. The Employer shall be responsible for repairing and laundering overalls, smocks, rubber gloves, rubber boots, aprons, hair nets and required head coverings supplied by him. Such clothing remains the property of the Employer and except with per- mission, shall not be removed from the Employer’s premises. The first issue of new rubber boots will be charged out at cost and further issues at no cost on exchange. Regular freezer employees shall receive forty cents per hour extra, effective February and forty-five cents per hour extra ef- fective February for all time worked in the freezer, as a clothing allowance. Occasional freezer employees may use clothing supplied by the Em- ployer and shall receive no clothing allowance. Regular freezer employees could be defined as those spending ten (10) hours or more per week in the freezer. The clothing allowance will be added to the freezer employee’s regular rate of pay for purposes of calculating his overtime rate. In order to prevent injury, maintenance employees shall be supplied with safety boots and hard hats at no cost to the employee. Night Watchman, Delivery Truck Driver, and Truck Drivers will be supplied with comfortable insulated suits and suitable gloves as needed, at no cost to the drivers, or Watchman. Insofar as the Employer has agreed to supply em- ployees, at no cost to the employees, cutting knives and steel mesh gloves for use in various areas of the plant, any employee who is going to be absent from work for reason for a period longer than days shall be responsible for the return of such items to a designated management person for the use by other employees, except where mutual ar- rangements have been otherwise made by the em- ployee and management. The Employer shall have the exclusive right and power to manage the business and direct the work- ing forces; including the right to hire, suspend, dis- cipline for just cause, discharge for cause, lay off, promote, assign to jobs, transfer employees from department to department, to increase or decrease the force, to determine the products to be handled, and nothing in this Agreement shall be in- tended, or is to be construed in any way to interfere with the re...
